RE: Cleaning Onan spark arrestor

I managed to pull one about 3 years ago, I had the generator for 5 years prior. After getting it out, it had very little soot or deposits. I decided then that I would not be pulling it out again.

RE: Adding third roof air conditioner, fitment question.

I took out a 13,500 and put in a 15,000 and can not tell a lot of difference when it's above 100 degrees. The oscillating fan will work just as good as far as I'm concerned.

RE: Fantastic Fan Stuck in the Open Position

Go to Fantastic fan website, you might find something that will help there.

RE: Electric cost

Your electrical cost will vary with what you use, you know, washer/dryer, convection oven, and such. I can tell you that if you spend anytime in Arizona in the summer, expect to see $3-400/month. Your ac will run pretty much 20 out of 24 hours, depending on how cool you try to be. In the park we are in during the winter months near Phx, we have two sheds with a freezer and a refrigerator. I have a small freezer in one of the RV storage bays. We have a washer/dryer and two TVs plus the convection over. Electrical averages about $100/month, depending on how many days we get above 75 degrees.

RE: ceiling light replacement

If the ballast is out, go get an LED replacement light. The wiring is included and I think you will like it better than the flouresent. Cost is about $40 bucks.

RE: Collision repair Phoenix, AZ

Have no idea as to what part of Phoenix you are headed to, but on the west side, Goodyear, try RV Techs.

RE: Fuel economy for an American Eagle

With that size engine, it probably won't make much difference in fuel milage in how you drive or what you tow. My best guess, around 7/8mph.

RE: Metal patio roof over edge of RV roof...problem.....

I'm really interested in your fix. I have a similiar situation with a motorhome only I did not fasten the roof to the motorhome. I hung a piece of sun screen off the patio roof (hanging straight down) and used a series of pvc pipe mounted hard to the patio for support. I still get rain if the wind blows hard, but most of it is stopped by the sun screen as it hangs down about a foot. The pvc pipe is mounted vertical to keep the screen hanging down.

RE: How is power mirror head attached to the arm ??

I don't know for sure what your problem is, but my mirrow came out of the bracket that it was mounted in. The bracket is attached to the mechanisms that is used for adjustment, so I'm talking about the mirrow glass only. I mixed an epoxy product, put some on the mirrow and some on the bracket and put the mirrow back in place. This was 5 years ago. Hope this addresses your problem.

RE: What causes a tire to do this?

I have a similiar problem with my Goodyear tires. I have the same wear that you have only mine only goes about 1/3 of the way around the tire, then it switches to the inside edge of the same tread. Both my fronts are wearing with similiar patterns. I have 20000 miles on the tires, but I did not notice this wear until last year. Don't know the cause but it seems to apply to the Goodyear 670's. It's called "rivering", look it up on the internet.

Why not give Brake Buddy a call?

RE: Triple E question

Sounds like the inlet check valve and it is located where you connect your hose. I had one fail and it let a small plunger move in and blocked the area where the water would normally come in. You will probably have to remove the check valve to determine if it is bad.

RE: Source for Replacement Curtains

A few years back, we went to J.C. Penny's and found drapes that were the correct length. As far as width, we had to purchase 3. The wife velcroed them together and they worked perfect.

RE: slide seals

I have seen some that were held in place with pop revits. You might look and see if you could use those.

RE: help! stranded at park

I hope you/they know why the disconnect failed. Recently I posted here on the forum where I had two failures on the same part as you had your failure. My MH came from the factory with the disconnect switch improperly installed. I found that the disconnect must be installed properly or it will fail. Your disconnect switch must be installed with the plastic end up. There is a magnetic pin under the plastic cover that must hang down for the disconnect to function properly. Good luck.

RE: I can't find the 12V charge line fuse.

I don't fully understand your problem. Do you have 12 volts working in the coach, but can't get the batteries to charge or is it that you have no 12 volts?

Coach Battery Disconnect

I have a 2007 Coachmen Encore and just discovered this problem. The Coach Battery Disconnect solenoid, correct I.D. being, battery disconnect relay, had failed a couple of months back, so I went to my local RV Repair and purchased a new one. I removed the failed one and installed the new one exactly like the old one came out. Just this week, the new one failed. My friend and I removed the relay in an effort to determine why it failed. During our investigation, I went on the internet and found information on the disconnect relay. Based on the information about how the relay works and how it is installed, we found that the original relay was installed incorrectly at the factory and since it was installed incorrectly, when I installed the new one after the first failure, I installed it incorrect and after a few (unintential)uses, it failed. Based on the information that I found, this should have been a re-call by Coachmen, but since they are out of business, I am posting this so Class A Coachmen owners can check their Battery Disconnect Relay to make sure it is installed correct and will not fail after a few uses. The relay is manufacturered by Intellitech,Model #01-00055-000. It is labeled as "Intellitech 100 amp 12v Battery Disconnect Relay with fuse." This relay must be mounted properly "the rod magnet must be on top." The rod magnet is located inside a plastic cover, so the plastic cover must be up (mine was mounted horizontal). Installation and information can be obtained by going to rvpowerpartsplus.net/index.php

RE: Odor elimination - HELP!

There is a product called "Odors out" sold at Petsmart or Petco that may work.
