RE: E 350 with dead differential

Go to Pick a Part and buy the whole axle and differential. Swap over good parts to the purchased axle, strap it onto the springs and your good to go. BTC

RE: Wheel slid back a few inches?!

The spring to the left of the U bolts look fine. The bottom two on the right of the U bolt look like they have broken at some point. They normally will look the same on both sides. I have broken springs before, and that is what it looked like... Are all the others the same way? Good eyes Huntindog, you may have nailed it BTC

RE: Wheel slid back a few inches?!

I would say the center pin on the spring package has sheared off and caused the axle to shift back. Probably due to improper U bolt torque. If that is the problem, the spring will have to be removed, compressed and a new center pin installed before reassembly. BTC

RE: Heater core replacement

2bzy2c Don't do it. It will plug up not only the holes, but the heater core itself. Been there. Done that! Strange comment for a product that has been on the market for over 60 years. As I recall, these products only solidify when they are in contact with air. Not much air is a sealed cooling unit. BTC
