Gulf Coast RV Parks

I am interested in finding an RV park on the Mississippi or Alabama Gulf coast. Is there anything actually on the beach?
Thanks,

RE: Onan gen experts needed ??.

Neil,
I called my "expert" friend and told him your problem. He said it would probably be one of two different things: low oil pressure sensor or the remote stop switch. You said the oil was OK, so it probably is the switch. He said it is the cut-off switch on the box at the generator. If you open the box, check to see if there is a loose wire close enough to the off switch to make contact with it when jolted from a bump in the road. He has found this to be a problem is some models. Let us know.

RE: Onan gen experts needed ??.

I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I have a good friend who lives near me, who has worked on them for years. He is retired and is always willing to answer my questions about my two Onans. Post your problem, and I will ask him. Others may learn from the answer.

RE: 1997 Ford Chassis (F53) running hot?

I don't think you have a real problem, Joe. My 460 registers just like yours. It is OK for the guage to fluctuate in a big block engine. As long as it stays in the "NORMAL" range, it is fine. When you should be concerned is when it remains on the high end. My cooling fan kicks in as yours does. It is supposed to do so. It is a big fan and is noisy. In my opinion, you have no need for alarm.

RE: Ford F53 Fuel Pump 1996 newmar

You are probably not going to find just the pump and socks. They are only sold as a complete unit usually. Some are in the 150.00 range and some are in the 350.00 range.

Class A Cover

I need a cover for my 37 foot motorhome. I would like some advise before I buy. What is the best cover? Advantages? Disadvantages?, etc.
Thanks

RE: 97 Southwind class A RV on F53 Ford chassis 460 engine

Reggie,
I have a 97 F53 chasis on mine and I have the same issue occasionally. Mine has an anti-theft ignition system in which the key has a chip in it that must connect with the ignition system in order for the starter to engage. It could be that the wireless connection t has some interference. If you have a second ignition key, try it and see if acts any differently. Good Luck.

RE: buffing motor home by self

I just finished putting four coats of ZEP wet look floor finish on mine and it gave an amazing finish. I used a bottle sprayer and a Swiffer pole and pad to apply it. Easy and very inexpensive.
