only people who live in cold regions understand why when the temp goes up to about 40-50 degrees, we throw open the windows, take off our coats and put on shorts!! woohoo, warm weather!

Big Boy Box?
Can anyone recommend a litter box that is made larger for the "plus size" cats? my big boy is about 18lbs. He has also had the surgery that removed his penis due to the urethra being blocked from crystals in the urine. That means he doesn't pee forward, it kinda shoots out the back from a hole the surgeon created. Well, being large, he gets in the box, his body takes up the entire box it seems, and he sometimes pees outside the box while he is in it!! Plus, he also pees standing up at times. He will put his paws on the edge of the pan and stand up!
The electric pans are way too small, the covered pans would never hold him when he stands, and we are currently using what we though was a large litter pan. It seems he needs more room for his body so he doesn't hang over the edges to pee.
Any one have problems with a plus size kitty in the box?
