Am I the only one who washes their roof. I have a white rubber roof and when I wash my tt I always start with the roof. It takes me twice as long to wash it when I wash the roof too. My friend told me I was wasting my time washing it. What do you think?

We wash the roof 4 times a year using only dishwashing liquid and a soft brush. The manufacturer recommends the cleaning to prolong the life of your rubber roof.

The black streaks come mostly from the dirt on the roof. Also I wax mine and the streaks come off easer.

Just washed ours this afternoon! That is my job -there is no way he can climb up there. By the time we were done, almost wished for a really small trailer!! That feeling will pass, tho!! Actually it washed easily enough and looks great there is just a lot of it!! We leave on our first trip of the season tomorrow and the weatherman says it is going to rain all the way there! Go figure!!

See ya' down the road!

Fla. Camper,

This must have been the day to wash camper roofs, i washed mine also. I use the same carwash for everything, Armorall car wash, It'll put a shine on anything, I usaully try to wash mine every time i wash the sides, helps cut down on black streaks on the sides.
Happy camping ,Daniel

I have never washed the roof, so I have a question. Do you actually get up and walk on the roof, or do you just get on a ladder and use a long handled brush?
