My MH has been pre-wired for a backup camra & monitor. I have no wiring diagram, but have found the end in the front cab that hooks the monitor up, including a convieniently located power hookup very nearby, (presumably to power the system). My problem is....where the heck is the camera end of the wire? I can see it disappearing into the drivers side attic area, but where does it come out???
I have a 2003 Coachmen Rendezvous, (comparable to a Mirada).
Can anyone help me out??
Thanks,
Raleman
I think if you take off the centre top clearance light you will find the camera connection.
What is the connection and power wire up front you found, are they labelled?
02 Mirada
02 CRV Falcon, BB.
All of the rigs that I have seen that were pre wired for back up systems had three wires for the monitor. One ground, one keyed hot and one that goes hot when reverse is selected.
One manufacture had a 14 gauge wire ran so that you could use it as a snake for the camera to monitor. The only problem is that it was in the middle of a wireing loom that about every 2 feet had about 4 or 5 wraps of electrical tape tightly wound arround the loom. Cannot get cable with connector end to follow the snake.
Most and I say most as I have not seen them all do not run the camera to monitor cable as there are at a minimum of 4 diffrent cable ends depending on brand and models. I took one monitor and a cable to a large electronics supply store. Spent 3 hours going over there catalogs and could find no adapter and no diagram as to how things were wired so that one could be made.
When we do an install it is faster to run the cable by removing the center top rear marker lam assembly and many times the two to the left, pull the cable and drop it down the edge moulding. Make sure the proper end is left at the top center. Then run the cable forward and up into the cab. Remove the inside left windshield piller cover then into the over head.
Raleman:
I contacted Coachmen regarding the pre-wiring for the rear camera. Their repsonse follows. I would contact them directly, by phone or email, just to be certain that the same applies to your year and model.
Thank you for writing regarding your Mirada.
Complete sets of wiring diagrams are available by e-mailing Ruth Farris at rfarris@coachmen.com Ruth can tell you how much they cost and how to go about ordering them.
As for the rear camera wiring- it terminates behind the glovebox up front, then runs up the drivers side a-pillar, down the drivers side roof line, across the back radius and ends in the curved cap between the roof and the back wall (it is hollow) directly above the center clearance light.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

My 02 Minnie Winnie 30V was suppose to have the camera wire terminated in the center of the rear cap. Was left stuffed in the left corner channel. Had to remove the bottom screws of the cap and reach up and pull it out. I found out what brand of monitor Winnebago used if you had them install it and then went to Camping World and bought the same brand (at half the cost). Had two yellow wires and one white wire in the front. White was the ground. I just used a voltage meter to determine which yellow wire was for reverse and which was off the ignition switch. Was a fairly easy job. You also need to pay attention when you drill holes for the mounting bracket screws that you are not drilling throught the roof.
I removed the sun visor brakets on both sides which allowed me to pull the head liner down slightly to access the wires. I also had to remove the rear view mirror as I mounted the TV monitor between the visors

Dynamic Duo,
Thanks, I spoke to Ruth @ Coachmen & have my wiring diagram coming.
LUT,
Sorry to tell you that nothing is labeled, but hopefully my diagram will tell me what that set of wires & plug is for. If I find out, I will reply & let you know.
Thanks everyone.
