Jim:
Most of us do not regularly pay $30+ per night for camping facilities, however since this rally is about 7 months away, if one really wanted to attend the rally one has sufficient time to stash away his pennies to make the rally. We're aware that the prices are high, but who can put a price tag on meeting with such a bunch of great people? BTW Pine Ridge was $32 this year and we were told that the price was going up by next season. Even if the price was the same at $32 compared to $39 at Jellystone, that's a total of $14 difference for two days, not enough to keep anyone away IMHO.
Also for the geeks out there, Jellystone is going to be offering high speed internet on about 200 of thier sites.

Hi Jim, I see you're also from Michigan and I'm sure that you are aware that Frankenmuth is not a cheap place to visit. It is a tourist destination. I've been to five of these rallies and I can assure you that the people that come to these rallies are fine decent people. Some come with their pop-ups, truck campers, class A, B,& C's, TT's, and 5thwheels. Furthermore, you only pay for Friday and Saturday nights, which comes out to a total of $78.00. Even the Pine Ridge RV park is $32.00 and going up next year. I'm sorry, but I can't get you a site at the Frankenmuth Jellystone park for $20.00/night. Best regards, Chuck/Bagman. PS - Just think about the folks that are driving here from Washington state and all the expenses they will have getting here.

P.S. The difference between $29 and $39....for the three days is $30....If $30 keeps you from comin' then you didn't want to come, in the first place...Pat

Pat...
I'm sorry, but $30 more for a weekend can be a burden on some folks, when they usually stay in $20 ( or less ) a night parks, it add's a lot more to the weekend.... Your comment isnt a fair one to make. If this is the attitude of the folks that will attend, then "US" little guys probably wont feel welcome.

Have a nice day

Hmmm. Depending on how many snow days we get this year (and last year we had none, even with all the snow) we might be able to work this out. I'll be a last minute Louie but will keep in in the back of my mind. Problem is it will probably conflict with the boy scout's annual trip to the Saco River (no rv, no running water, no indoor plumbing). I know what-I'll send the boys to the Saco and I'll go to Frankenmuth! That's the ticket!

Eric, there is a cute little motel right across the street from the RV park call the Frankenmuth Motel. I'm sure it is reasonable. Chuck/Bagman.

I would say don't send them to the Bavarian Inn if those are the accomodations you speak of...bit too pricey in my opinion. Probably would be a bit cheaper if they stayed at a motel near Birch Run (7 miles away)...

Just another point: for those of you "in between" rv's, there's motel/hotel accomodtions right across the street from Jellystone Park. There's no reason not to come! We definately are looking forward to this rally! Hopefully, I'll have the website up and running, complete with links, in a couple of weeks. The Bag-people are some of the most generous, hospitable folks you'll meet. Frankenmuth II will be a blast!

I believe we'll be there, have a family reunion in Northern MS the weekend before, but Dale will be off work 3 weeks by the weekend you have scheduled. So we'll swing by home cut the grass and head north.

Thanks Chuck...

People you'd be amazed at how much you can save by putting your change in a jar on a daily basis. In no time at all, you'd have enough to pay for a lot more than one weekend. It's really quite fun to do it.

I'll ask our daughter to reserve the hardtop for that weekend for us. Seems fair...we're looking after the grandkids while they take a one week holiday in November.

We'll be there and hope to meet many more than we did last year. Are you calling this Bubba North or Frankemuth II?
