Heathertee2002 was talking about adding bourbon to her BBQ Sauce. It reminded me that I had a Steak Sauce recipe that had bourbon as one its ingredients. Here it is

1 pound butter
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup bourbon (I use Jim Beam)
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 T Pepper
1 1/2 t dry mustard
1 t salt
1/4 t tabasco ( more or less)

Directions:

Melt butter in a saucepan. Add onion and carlic and cook on med heat until onion is soft. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Makes about 3 cups. Will refrigerate well. Shake before using.

Sounds good. I might try that brew next time we get steaks out. I think I might try the chipotle tabasco in that mix. Might just give it a touch of smoky flavor. I think ya done good!

Momma, we don't talk about it. We just DO it! LOL.
As the immortal Julia Child said, after upending the last of a bottle of wine (on TV!).."One of the rewards of being a cook!"
Glotzenmeister, the sauce sounds good. Never thought of making my own steak sauce.
