Is there any easy-to-use good spec sites (ie, detailed) that might give type of transmission, GAWR, GCWR, etc., drum or brake shoe size, etc. for say,
the 2000-2006 Suburbans, Tahoes, and GMC Denali models?
I couldn't find the actual transmision info. on either the chevy or gmc manufacture sites, and the GMC site is almost unreadable.

Hey guy's, I am completely new to this RVing stuff (hence the user name)here in the states and I saw the start of the string and thought, these guys have some good stuff to read.
I'm looking for towing data for my 1988 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab. Long Bed,4x4 with Auto and 350ci. Weight data missing from sticker on inside edge of door, and I can't read the Axle ratio on the axle tube either. I've e-mailed Chevy with VIN and hopefully they will help me, but if anyone has any data or useful information on using this Tow Vehicle for a 5th wheel trailer, I would appreciate it very much.
We bought a 2002, Ram quad cab,short bed, 5.9L, V8, 4x4, book says it has a max trail weight of 8100 lbs.......says GVWR is 6650 lbs., GCWR is 12,500 lbs.
Trailer is a Jayco Flight, 27BH, unloaded vehicle weight is 4950, dry hitch 635, Gross vehicle weight rating 7,500. Does this sound o.k.?
Is there any website that could help me figure it out??

We are considering the purchase of a 2006 Honda Odyseey. What are the pros and cons of towing this vehicle. What has to be done to the car to tow it.,i,e.pull fuses, install transmission pump, tec. what brand of hitch plate is the best, how about brakeing systems. Is it hard to wire the lights of the car. Thanks.looking for all the info I can get.

Look it over, I think most of you will find, if you put info to use on your rig, being it a class 1-3, ie half to 1 ton trucks to 12,500 lbs GVWR, you will have a better understanding of what goes into figureing out GCWR ratings to a degree.
