Click on link below for the list of RV parks offering WiFi Internet service updated as of 06/10/07. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader to open the .pdf file.

CAMPGROUND WiFi LIST

03/14/08
Due to health issues last year, we got behind with the usual updates. We do have one about done and it will be posted at the end of March.

Many more campgrounds are indicating WiFi is included in the camping fee at no additional cost. Please send me a PM if you find any parks charging for WiFi when the lists indicate the service is free.

You may download a free version of Adobe Acrobat reader be clicking on the link below:

Sandi and I jointly work on maintaining this list as an aid to our fellow forum members. We very much appreciate all the forum members and campground owners who have sent us additional information for the list so we can keep it current. As we do not have the time (or ability) to visit each RV park we receive information about we do depend on members reports.

Please continue to report parks which have added WiFi but are not on the list and those listed but have problems with their systems. We appreciate your help and support in providing this information for our forum members.

The right hand column shows the WiFi provider or cost to use the system if the service is not free. (Included in campground fees)

Please post here or notify us of any campgrounds you find offering WiFi Internet service that are not included on the list. - Dick A by PM or by email; dick@twoway.net. or answerswillvary by PM or sandi@twoway.net

NOTE:
Each time the list is updated (normally every month), the posts here will be removed along with any other comments from other members in order to keep the thread short and sweet.

Many RV parks WiFi systems are not what I would call "professionally" installed and the signals are not very strong. However, I have really noticed an improvement in park systems during the past two years.

I strongly recommend using a "plug-in" WiFi adapter if using a laptop computer in your motorhome instead of the "built-in" adapter or a PCMCIA card. We use the Linksys WUSB54G adapters on both our computers and always have a usable signal when the built-in adapter in both our laptops and fixed computer will usually not work. There are many past threads in this forums Technology Corner forum about various adapters and external antennas.

We have received numerous PM's mentioning the list has been very helpful to our fellow RV'ers. We appreciate your comments. We really do our best to have the list as accurate as possible.

This list is not sold to anyone and is done strictly for the benefit of RV.NET members.

Dick

An update for Little Ponderosa Campground in Boothbay, Maine.

The WiFi is free and covers about 3/4 of the sites.

An update for Megunticook By The Sea Campground in Rockport, Maine

The WiFi is free, as listed, but only available in the office.

Thank you all so much for the input. We have been working the past few days on updating the list and this should be available soon.

During the updating process, we delete each of your posts as the information is incorporated into the list.

Information from our members regarding WIFI availability in RV parks across the US, Mexico and Canada is invaluable to the success of this endeavor. Pleae keep it coming.

Thanks again,

answerswillvary and Dick A.

Dick, You have the KOA in Streetsboro, Ohio listed as free when in fact it is $5.95/day on the daily rate. It cost me $17 and change 2 weeks ago and with the built in wi-fi in my laptop it was marginal. Thanks for the updated list.

I also heard that Mono Vista RV Park in Lee Vining, CA, added Wi-Fi. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, also if the wifi is free but only at the office or central location, can this be noted? No biggie if not.

Paradise Lake in Appomatox, Va only works at the office. Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach, SC is only free in a area and the wifi is charged like the other big parks there at the site - this from their site: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for up to 8 users at a time at the Wireless Zone located at Sandy's Meet n' Eat. Wi-Fi is at the campsites for an additional fee.
