Yep, this is the first time I'm seeing this thread. US Navy '88-'94. Not close to retiring yet. (I'm only 38) Now that I think about it, if I stayed in I would be retiring this year...WOW!
I just remembered that's what my Uncle did. Retired at 38 from the Navy and NEVER saw a ship. Then he took a second job. Retired from that at 58. He really did it right.
Another retired AF vet here, 1970 to 1990. Retired from flying night freight a year ago. Picking up our new 35 foot MH in about 3 weeks. Can't wait. Had a TT years ago when kids were little, this one's for us. First trip will probably be to Grand Canyon.
Hats off to all vets!

First time seeing this thread also, thanks Old Soldier 1 for starting this thread. Sure glad to know that there's quite a few forum members that are veterans and retired military. Retired Navy here (1974-1996) and been RV'ing since 2001 (first trip on our first MH was on 9/11 - not easily forgotten). Couldn't help but notice that there's more Air Force RV'ers than Navy. Maybe another thread on how many RV'ers are there for each of our military (including Coasties) services?
So what happened with the idea of a new forum, rather than a thread? I only read the first and last pages but would like to see a forum. USAF retired. Spent first two years with the USA, Big Red One in Viet Nam and 3rd Inf Div in Germany.
Navy '64-73 disabled and retired service connected. Been RV'n since '80. Glad to see activity on this thread. Planning a trip into Mexico for the coldest winter months.
