I agree with a couple of other posts, be careful using Simple Green, it will take off the wax or gel coat along with the black streaks. I love the product and it helps because our son-in-law owns the company that makes it. I don't mean he owns Simple Green, he owns a chemical plant that makes and bottles it. I have all the products that his company makes, but when we used Simple Green on our last trailer, we had to rewax it...Barb

I've been using the Black Streak Remover in the RV section of Wally World. It is a little high($4.94 a spray bottle), but found it to be the best to spray on my telescoping brush (also wally world for $9.94) and just use it as the soapy lather to wash down the TT. Then I spray the cleaner directly on the worse black streaks and just a little more scrub of the brush and their gone. One bottle lasts for two washings so far. So thats not too bad.

I washed our MH with simple green and a rag. Spot cleaned the
black streaks--did a great job. Followed up with a coat of Nu-Finish
wax. Did the whole unit just a couple weeks ago-35' GeorgieBoy. Boy,
the GeorgieBoy sure looked nice afterward.

I tried Simple Green and Greased Lightning. They worked ok,but I found something better at my local camper dealer. It's made by JBS Industries and it's called Mako Orange. It's a citrus based cleaner.I use it undiluted and do a small area at a time. I spray it on,wipe with a sponge and rinse.I won't use anything else.

My DH swears by Dawn dish liquid for cleaning our 5th wheel. It does a great job and leaves a really clean, shiny finish. It DOESN'T take off the wax!! He does use Black Streak Remover for the really difficult streaks, but then follows up with Dawn. When the unit is clean, he rinses really good. The trailer looks so nice!!

Dawn dish soap is available in many dollar stores. He washes the truck, the 5th wheel and the Taurus with the Dawn!!

I've heard of poeple using WD-40 but it hasn't been mentioned in this thread.

Some friends of mine couldn't get the streaks off until they waxed it, they said that they came of with the wax!?
