I dont see why people buy self contained motorhomes just to park them within range of a power line and a water hose.

If the city governments see that motorhome people just run away if they pass "anti-citizen" laws, then we are all going to end up slaves in the end.

I propose that if you own a motorhome that you park it on the side of the road. As long as it does not get in the way of normal traffic.

The point is to RESIST, RESIST, and again, RESIST. Unless you enjoy being herded around like cattle.

If it costs you 25 bucks to get a parking ticket or 30+ bucks to pay to stay in a rv-park, just get the parking ticket and pay it. Drive the worthless rv-parkes out of business. That way we destroy One of the Two major enemies. Then we can work on changing the laws. But thats going to take one HELL of a fight.

If everyone parks on the side of the road (not impeading traffic, of course) they will get used to seeing this happen and usually it will be ignored as commonplace after a few years.

Its always tough to fight for your rights.

Have you always been a jerk or just since you bought a motorhome? Hope you don't come our way.

THINWHITEDUKE,
It is not the CG folks that cause cities to prohibit parking on streets overnite.
It is the folks living around the MH owners. Guess they are just plain jealous. My city says you can park up to 20ft in your drive. No matter how long your drive is. Anything longer must go in back or side yard and can not be seen from the street. Having no access to side or back yard, I have a 20ft unit. NO,trailers, period, in drive either. If you have a visitor they can park ifo your home with permission of the Police Dpt for up to three days.
That fits another ordinance, no vehicles parked for over three days with out being moved. Ain't city life just great.

David;
EASY, this issue has never reared its head before.
Looking at it in a logical manner, the reason you cannot park on the street is health concerns probably being foremost. If some RVers dump in the catch basins of Wal-Mart, think of what this crude non-thinking person would do to the street. We as RVers should be helping keep the places we stay free available by being guests, not permanent residents. The list of abuses to the free parking places will eventually end the practice. I stayed in a new truck stop with parking for RVers. Late at night a truck pulled in with a travel trailer and parked. I got up as the male driver walked to the back of the coach, by the dump valves. He then ran to the truck and left. The Odor that permeated the air had me close my windows losing the great nighttime sounds. This total ASS drained the black tank in the parking lot and out the driveway to the street. My mistake was not getting his license number and turning him in, this is what will end free overnight parking.
