I too have three kids and the wife. We looked at everything. Outback has a model really light with a queen slide and four bunks in front. Frontier has one also really light, 4 bunks and a queen slide. I ended up with an Adirondack 26 QS. Nice trailer, I pull it with my Tahoe. I havent had it out much, I just got it. However, I pulled it back from KS to Dallas and had no problem in the hills of Oklahoma. I ran 65-70. It weighs just over 4500 with propane and water. I imagine all of them were about that weight that I looked at. Seems to me frontier and Outback had models with two slides. Just remember, like someone told me in here. More slides = more weight. Try RV trader.com. That gave me the TT's to look at and focus on. I actually found mine in there. Happy Hunting !

If you're prepared to tow a 30 footer, the Trail Cruiser 30QBSS has everything you want and it's light at 4300 lbs dry. Just get a good WDH hitch w/sway control with your 1500 RAM and you'll be good to go.

Take a look at the Dutchmen 28GSL.
It has a double bed w/ bunk in back, queens size walk around in front (w/doors), and a small slide. It's considered a Lite model even with the slide. Dry weight is 5632 and hitch weight is 760.
Dutchmen TT's are considered entry level or low end models...but so far I have not found ANY defects in the TT and the money I saved aloud me to buy some toys to put in it.
It's not as plush as some other brands but it beats the heck out of a tent when you have 3 kids!!

This is what I have and sounds like exaclty what you are looking for. I bought mine new it is a 2005 model I got it new in October 2004 for $16,650 from a dealer going bankrupt.

It has a front bedroom with a door not curtain. Rear bedroom also has door.

Depending what engine you have in your Ram whether you could pull it or not. Hemi would pull it 5.2L or smaller not sure I would do it. I pull mine with a Chevy 1500 5.7L.

i 2nd the frontier 2809(kz-rv.com), but look at the slideshow on mine in my sig. Email if you have any questions. I've looked at them all, and this was the deal for the money/quality. I really like it with my 3 boys, a room of their own. The durango line has some nice trailers, and a new jag line is much the same, only metal sided wood framed, and much cheaper.

Plan on using the 1500? Then the Outback or Frontier would be best. But when you upgrade to a 2500, you can look at some of the larger units.

Checkout my signatures and the following 2809 floorplan from KZ

A user group can also be found at Goin'KZ

You will see what we tow with and we have NO complaints. Great Trailers, awesome room for the weight and the best rear slide available.

BTW, the sofa also slides as you can see in the floorplan.
