Jayshack185,

Webshots is a little more technical to use than some of the host sites. Here are some pointers.

When using the size praramters, use only one of them - generally use the width. In one of your posts you use "height = 640 and width = 480" The display engine will only look at the first one it sees.

Note: The forum's recommended maximums are width = 640 and height = 480

Webshots is not my choice of websites, but here is a post on how to use webshots as of last march.

I find TinyPic.Com must easier to use. You may be interested in

ValkSmile,

Your second attempt failed because you used a URL for a page that contains the picture instead of a URL to the picture itself. On the lower-right side of the page, select the IMG Code and paste it into a post.

dixietrain,

It appears that you are posting a URL to a page that contains a picture, not to the picture itself.

I don't use Picasa, so I'm not sure of the Picasa way of doing things.

I right-clicked on the picture (on the page your URL leads to). I selected properties and then copied the URL and use the message window's Image tool, to get this.

I can see the picture, but I don't know if others can. (I went to the page and could have recieved a cookie that lets me see it.)

campguy3040,

I corrected the size parameters for your picture. You had height=640 and width=480. The recommended maximums are width=640 and height=480. Since your picture was already 640 by 480, I simply removed both parameters - they can be left blank.

Even though you had the heigth parameter larger than the width, you may have noticed that your picture was wider. That is because the display engine uses only the first parameter it sees, height in your case, and adjusts the second to keep the two in proportion. Thus, if you need to adjust the dimensions of the picture, only use one parameter, usually the width.
