Your first attempt failed because the picture was on your computer's hard drive. As, apparently, you discovered, the picture must be on a host site.

Attempts 2 and 4 are distorted because you are enlarging the picture. One can not get more detail from a picture than already exists. If an unaltered picture has a height of 220 pixels, for example, and you tell the display engine to give it a height of 600 pixels, the picture will be distorted because there are not 600 pixels of height contained in the original.

Since you have chosen Photobucket.Com as the host site, you should read this tutorial.
