Not sure what a Mitchell Style Building but if I ever move I will have a
I will have a steel Building that looks like a Whse with a garage door for the car and one for the RV, living area will be built inside it on on side and the space for the RV on the other with full hookups for family when they visit, I would also have a shop in it and room for other toys. You could have a patio or deck off the back not visible from the rode. I have a lot of ideas and love to dream but I'm not going to move, I'm 61 and homesteaded.

Here's pic so there's not all chatter. Wild Turkey breast, chicken breasts corn on the cob and country style ribs (in the foil) in the smoker

Corn done

Turkey breast finished, it was covered with bacon to keep it moist

I took this one on my way home tonight just a few block from home.

We have snow in the forcast tonight so there should be a little more snow up there in the morning.

What elevation are you at? And do you ever experience summer temps? Your pic, albeit beautiful, still looks pretty wintery.... brrrr...

Ghost, what a neat schoolhouse! It's awesome that it's still around and looks to be in beautiful condition! Is it used for anything these days?

Oh wow, TONS of terrific pictures have been posted! I have been extremely busy - end of the school year and my brother is getting married (getting ready for the family invasion). Like Mr and Mrs Ghost, I have been enjoyed EVERY picture and the stories behind them.

I also want to extend a big welcome to Cheryl. Thanks for joining us here!
Welcome back Julie! Fun pics of the farm.
Congrats to Kathy on the new property (future PPT gathering place).
Hopefully I'll get back to posting pics soon.

Three cheers for the present owners for keeping such a priceless piece of Americana preserved!!! Dh and I restored an old farmhouse in NY and when we firmed up the foundation, I wrote in the concrete in the basement, "Preservation of history for the preservation of man" and dated it. We lose too many greatly structured buildings in the name of "progress".
It is a beautiful picture.... and I'm sure if the walls could talk, some interesting tales would be heard. see ya. Peace,Cheryl

I will throw one more at you. The view from the dock looking toward "welcome rock". (they have a big WELCOME painted on the rock facing waters edge, although you cannot see it in the pic)
