we were trying to catch a Big Bass like this one, that was mounted on the wall of the cabin we stayed in.. Did not catch one but we had a good time trying...

Thank you for taking the time to answer questions and give good advice. I'm a determined and ambitious student taking everything in. I've had my camera just over 3 months now, and I've taken nearly 5 thousand pictures with it. I'm loving this!

Know what you mean, Pete! The first few months I had a digital SLR, I blew through the images since there is a fairly steep learning curve.

I've had the D300 since November and haven't taken more than 6500 images with it, but there isn't quite as much need to experiment with the second dSLR as there was with the first.
