I have a cat who is not yet adjusted to be the Kamping Kitty I have intended him to be!!

So, in trying to help the 'adjustment' along, I bought him a nice little bed with a sheepskin lining and a pocket underneath to place some nice fresh catnip. I know - mean, huh? Well - I have to get him in it somehow, 'cause he doesn't use a cat bed!!!! He makes his bed whereever he choses, like any other dignified cat!!

Well, he has taken to the bed - the only problem is that he's a HUGE cat - over 20 pounds, so he kind of overflows the bed.....

oh........isn't it nice....

If only I could fit all of me!!!

oh yes, this is nice....

All right, enough is enough! I'm getting on the couch on this nice blanket someone piled up for me, and now YOU get OUTTA my face!!!!!!!!

We finally found some luck at the racetrack last weekend. We've been really fast but just couldn't catch a break. Here is myself, my friend Barry, my driver Tommy Meier, and my brother Alan in victory lane at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, NY.

So many fantastic photos, took me awhile to catch up.

Here is a pic of Gwen hamming it up at our campsite. I should have taken this the next day when we washed it including the roof.

We went for a hike and Gwen and I just noticed the play of light on everything. Note to self do not let Gwen navigate it was a LONG hike.

I liked this fern

almost looks like a cliff

Looks kind of like a lizard or dinosaur to me

Pillow moss on dead leafs

Some pics from the Carousel Horse Museum at Knoebels. A lot of history here.

Love all the pics of the carousel animals. One of my favorit items. I wish I could afford to collect them. I used to collect the little porceline ones.
Salem has a really neat carosel that they put in a number of years ago that you can go ride. All the horses were hand carved and painted. Albany is in the process of carving animals for the new carosel they are putting in. They are always looking for someone to help with carving and painting for them. I wish I had the skill, I would probably go volunteer.

I rode the one in Asbury Park in the late 50's early 60's and grabbed the brass ring a lot. Now-a-days because of law suits they would have to have the the brass ring thing covered with so much padding you could never grab it. I bruised my hand a lot but back then we just said we had a great time and got some free rides

It has been a few days since I have been here. Lots of great pictures. Thanks for posting and sharing your daily events.

Here is where we are parked today (an hour or so north of Detroit). We are leaving for Connecticut tomorrow morning. Safe travels all.

That is goofy and most likely an adjusted image. If it isn't it would take a while to learn how to drive!!

Tuli - I liked all your beach scenes. Very nice! I especially like this one. I know a green flag means "safe". Why are there 2 red flags?
Thanks Marites.
The red flags mark the boundary of the lifeguard's area, so no swimming to the left of the red flags.
