Bud - Nice campsite!
Mokai - Outstanding models, er, model pics!
Barbara - Very nice mushroom and plant pics!
Kenny - Stay safe that close to the fire!

I had a very good day today! I woke up this morning to find my Lake Pleasant storm picture published online in our newspaper's weather section. I'm a published photographer now!

What a beautiful sunrise in the desert!

Lots of weather building late this afternoon.

I found these clouds over me. It's always good to look up every once in a while!

Pete! Congratulations! That's so terrific! I was wondering if I could use your sunrise picture and cloud picture. I am trying to design a CD cover. Our church contemporary music group is making a CD. Yes,I have a couple solos. Let me know via a PM.

MOKAI -- Great Model shots.. Esp like the last one - just conveys to me -
"having fun!"

KATZ -- Glad you liked the silhouette pic I posted. I was happy with the way that one turned out and you gave me the perfect opportunity to share it here!

RUBI -- loved that pic of Bonzai earlier. He appeared to be annoyed that you were disrupting his nap with a picture..LOL He always makes me giggle -- he is so "expressive"!
(I also saw your fire photo earlier and just saw a report on it on the evening news here! They said they are evacuating everyone surrounding the fires -- so please be careful and stay safe!!!)

PETE -- Really Beautiful Photos - wow!! Just stunning! And congrats on getting your photo on the online newspaper! Exciting, huh?

Your sun behind the clouds pic is really neat, and reminded me of one I took last week while on our trip... I was sitting poolside watching the kids swim and I looked up and "saw" a neat picture to take.. so I did!

Yours is alot better, in that you can see the sun's rays too, but this is something similiar anyway.

SAFE & HAPPY TRAVELS!

I am still in the process of uploading all my summer/camping/trip pictures... but I really wanted to post these few right now b/c they are a bit "significant". I did not realize at the time the pics were taken, but upon returning home and reading the heartbreaking news about our PawPaw.. my thoughts went right to these pics and I had to check when I took them. It was as I suspected -- I took these pictures ON the day our sweet Randy had crossed over to the Other Side. They seem all the more 'meaningful' now when I look at them....

I started with this shot of John and the kids playing in the river at Elk Neck State Park in MD...

Then I really took notice of the sky and commented on how there were "Heavenly Rays" shining down upon us.. as it looked as tho the sky "opened up to the heavens". I love when the sky looks like this and often refer to it as the "Jesus Rays" or "Heavenly Rays".. lol

I sat back and was just taken by the serene and "heavenly" beauty of it... I felt very peaceful, and I took the following 2 photos...

Awhile back I posted this photo of a dolphin...

And a few of you thought it was fake at first.. LOL But it is very real and I posted a response to those comments, but it never posted for whatever reason!? So I thought I'd try again...

That photo was taken in the "Dolphin Dome" at the Indianapolis Zoo. You stand in a glass dome surrounded by the dolphins swimming all around you (even above you!) The above picture was taken as a dolphin swam by, along the side of the Dome.

The following pics will give you a better idea of what I am talking about.
A picture of the Dolphin Dome...

And a picture of a dolphin swimming over the dome...

Neat, huh?

A very beautiful and a fitting tribute to Randy, Carolyn. We enjoyed Elk Neck SP a few years ago. Welcome back and thank you for posting.
