My newest grocery getter - a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 500. I have been riding off and on since I was 18. Before we were married my wife and I both rode. I wanted a small to midsize cruiser so that my 5' wife could ride it also. It has plenty of power (the engine is the same as the one in the Ninja 500) and gets great gas mileage. My own rules are: Ride like I am invisible to all other vehicles, always were a helmet, and avoid riding in Columbus ("the Big City"). I was kinda sorta looking for a bike when I found this one - it had 5600 miles on it and I paid $2100. I am surprised how smooth it is for an in-line twin.

We sit and watched this fellow eat for quite a while. He finally came across the road right behind the vehicle. He was searching for pocket gophers.

Morning fog, a motorcycle, SNOW!, and a bear, oh my! 
I found a couple of nice spots along the water downstream from Horseshoe Lake. Nice day today with sunny skies and temps around 77 degrees.
