NGC - Way cool! Are you stacking the images to get such a great DOF?

Thanks, Bogie. Nope, no stacking. All were shot with a Sigma 105mm macro lens and added 68mm of extension tubes for the final shot. Both the 2nd and 3rd images are tight crops to get in even tighter. Used both the camera's internal flash and a Nikon SB-800 shot into an umbrella to provide lighting for the last 2 images and that much light allowed me to stop down a bit. As you can see, the DOF on the last image was razor thin even though I was stopped down to f/8.

How's everybody doing?

Sorry I haven't been around lately, I have been busy with life and learning how to best utilize the camera.

I found a wicked awesome site with loads of info on photography......NatureScapes.net I am really going to play around with this HDR stuff it looks like it is going to open up a whole new look at photographing for me, I mean it will really marry up perfectly with RVing and racing!

This shot was from when my brother and I went to Lake Louise for the day.

I gave it all away to a guy I work with who also loves to smoke with it. I'll keep a little but the rest is history.

Besides, I quit smoking almost 7 years ago.

Saturday and Sunday were nice days, especially for doing yard work. Today it's raining but it's still a very very nice day.
