By accident I found "patio furniture cleaner" from Home Depot to clean off the black streaks.
Might be Zep brand I think, (without going outside to look).
Works very very fast, as it takes away the black streaks with ease. Just spray and wipe, too easy!
Has not hurt any vinyl or other surfaces.
I guess most patio furniture is plastic, vinyl, & fiberglass.
I posted this also at the end of the "wax" topic, but thought this could be of good help for someone, so I started a new topic..

John,
I saw that product at Home Depot for the first item yesterday. Yor're correct, it is Zep brand and I believe it was $2.77 a bottle. Thanks for the heads up that is works on black streaks too.

I would try a small test area first.
Ok, I have the bottle in hand, and this is some, of what it says;
*It is a special blend of premium detergents and degreasers.
• Cleans resin, plastic & metal outdoor-type furniture.
• Restores cushions, straps, umbrellas & awnings.
• Great for plastic deck accessories, boat & RV covers.
*Do Not Allow Product To Dry Before Rinsing
*Not for use on vehicle paint. - I believe this would be for painted steel, and I think it might break down the clear coat, the same way de-greasers would.
*Not for use on wood surfaces.
*For use on sling aluminum furniture fabric only, Not for use on cushions or natural fiber fabric.

We found this stuff made by the Reliable Corp. in a campground store and it works great on black streaks. It also takes the yellow off of plastic items. The nice think about it is that you can just spray it on direct and wipe it off, no rinsing needed.

Dont forget about one of the old standbys for many RV'ers.
" Awesome ".
You can use it directly out of a spray bottle or mix it with water and use it out of a bucket. The stuff works great and removes white streaks, black streaks etc. The great part about it is that it cost $ 1.00 a bottle at the Dollar Tree store. We also use it a great deal in the kitchen and bathroom at home and I normally buy it by the case lot.
The stuff is " Awesome " ( pun intended ).

I never use Awesome on my rubber roofs but I do use it all the time on my awning. Work's great there too. I am not saying it will harm your rubber roof but I am not about to find out. The EPDM can be real touchy and can bubble with a host of chemicals, namely any type of cleaner or product with a hint of petroleum distillates.

I use turtle wax degreaser (Sma's club, a spray bottle and a 1 galon refil tank). Gets rid of the black streak marks without even scrubbing, but i'll strip your wax (the home depot stuff will too)
