Rereading your description I see the circuit breaker is not an issue. You may need to search forums foe genset with no fire, or post a thread in the Tech Issues subforum.

I believe that there are both. Did you get a manual with your RV on the Onan 4.0 generator? If not, you can download one from this site. On page 6-2 Pg 23 of 128 (Figure 6-1) is an exploded view showing both. Somehow, I don't believe that is the problem.
I also have the question that "Burlmart" raised - How did the Trail-Lite get over to Northern Ireland?

I have all the manuals for the genny, but l will try and change the solenoid/relay, and try the other suggestions. Our rig was supplied new in England ( not to us) by a motorhome / rv dealer and subsequently ended up in Northern Ireland where it was owned by an old gent who rarely used it, hence the low miles. It was fully loaded with all the extras except the microwave, and with the big holding tanks allows us to free park around the coast.
Nope, just haven't gotten any notices in awhile. We have the itch to go someplace but we can't figure out where, and we only want to do about 4 hours. Been spending lots of time with my new 'baby' and helping my daughter in her house.
Hey all, I'm a newby here but have been reading a lot of these post and have really found some good info so sure hate to see it die out. I have a 2007 R-Vision Trail Lite on a Ford chassis with the V10 engine and I have a lot of trouble filling the gas tank. Seems the fumes keeps kicking the pump off even at the slowest pump speed. If I am setting at a down hill angle it fills pretty good but if level or uphill its a real pain!! Anyone else having this trouble or have any useful hints for me?? Thanks for any help!!
SteveL1948 - Welcome to RV.Net. It takes a lot of time to read all of the postings in this thread. I have been keeping up since 09/15/03, so I have been reading them as they were posted. I have added you as another owner of a Trail-Lite in my Excel spreadsheet. I started that way back because Trail-Lite made a number of different models on different chassis. I would forget who owned what and I found that frustrating. There have been over 100 different owners that posted to this topic. There have been a number that admitted to owning one with a V-10 engine. Don't recall anyone posting in this thread about problems with filling the gas tank, but have read about that in other threads. Usually, it has been either a kinked filler tube or a pinched vent tube. Unfortunately, it might not be real easy to see the filler tube and vent tube from under the unit. May have to wait until the tank is almost empty and lower the tank. You might be able to take pictures with a small digital w/flash where you can not get your head into position. Don't be afraid to snap many pictures as those that are not very helpful can be easily deleted.
