Shadow, that's the thing about any drug: anyone's reaction to it may be different. It is why they have the long disclaimers on commercials, and why it is always prudent to keep in touch with your doctor when you are on a prescription medication and report any and all adverse reactions.

I'd rather adopt a German Shepherd and name her Brunhilde...and hug her.

Good morning. Well we are ready to travel. The camper issues are taken care of and we should be able to travel without fear of tire failure for a long time. The G614 Good Year tire is really a heavy duty tire. With the wheels each tire weighs close to ninety pounds each. I guess I will need to get a good road side service company before we leave this summer. I tried to pick up one of the tires yesterday as If I was going to put it on a rim and couldn't do it.

The girls are fine and ready to go camping this weekend. We are going to a State Park on a lake just 46 miles up the road.

Sadlers Creek State Park sits on 395 acres on a peninsula that extends into Lake Hartwell, one of the Savannah River reservoirs.

The twins are going with us along with their families. The weather looks great for the weekend so I am hoping we wlll enjoy the great outdoors.

PS: The tire are made in the USA!

Gosh today was a banner day for me. I washed the camper and the truck and finally found a place to mount the CB radio. I was lost without it when we went to Virginia, but now I have it back and its in an easy place to get to. The thing is about twelve years old but it still works fine.

I am looking forward to this weekend with the family. Lake Hartwell is a beautiful lake, but right now the water level is very low for some reason. Jeff is going to bring the pontoon boat with the new second hand motor. Last summer the old motor gave up the ghost. It was about time as it was twenty years old and had been giving signs it was about to leave us. Jeff found a good used 110hp Mercury and it gave the old boat new life.

The girls will enjoy the water as it is supposed to be hot over the weekend. It is nice to be going a short distance and spending three days staying put. Wishing everyone a blessed weekend.

Thanks Mary Lou. We will back Monday, the good Lord willing. Boy this summer is going to be jammed packed. When we get back from our trip to Ohio, Michigan and Montana we will be leaving for Missouri in August for two weeks. Our grandson Joshua will be graduating from boot camp and then off to Med school. We will be there to see him off into his new adventure. I think we will spend some time in Branson before coming home.

Have a great and blessed weekend, talk with you later.

We are at Lake Hartwell and Mama isn't doing good at all. Our site is very uneven and we had to raise up the side of the camper the door is on about eight inches to get level. This raises the steps so it is very difficult for Mama to climb. Tonight after our evening walk she had a very hard time climbing into the camper and she is now in pain. I gave her two tramadol tablets so maybe she will be comfortable.

The Pet Loader steps we have don't work as they should because of the design of the steps on the camper. The camper steps are rounded and poke out which hinders the Pet Loader from sitting securely on the steps. The results is the top step of the Pet Loader is only resting about an inch on the camper steps which could cause them to slip off.

I don't know yet how to fix the situation, but I am working on it.

We had a similar situation on one of our recent trips. I had a pretty secure step to add on the ground to split the difference to the first step. I still have to boost Charmin but this makes it easier. Still haven't found a ramp I like. Hope Mama does better after a nights rest.

You could use a belly band to help her get up the steps I made one out of a scarf, just tied it around the belly and when ELiz needed to go up the steps i could just help her by lifting he behind up and support her weight
Some times sdhe will get her front legs on the steps and I will put my hand between her back legs and lift her behind that way

Good morning. I finally figured a way to make the Pet Loader steps work. By adding some leveling blocks to the base of the Pet Loader it raises it up so it clears the camper steps allowing it to rest more securely on the camper. Mama was able to climb the steps much better with this arrangement this morning. I gave her a good dose of Tramadol this morning along with the Medacam and joint strong so she is resting comfortably right now.

It is a beautiful day here and promises to remain this way throughout the weekend. It is going to be hot with the temperature in the 90’s. We plan to go for a ride on the pontoon boat this afternoon and enjoy the lake. I hope all is well with everyone and you are enjoying yourselves.
