This morning on westbound 580 in Pleasanton CA we passed a Four Winds. He was moving along and I happened to glance down to the bottom of vehicle and he had a door flapping. I pulled along side and motioned that he had a problem and then passed him. He pulled over, I did not stop hope he found the loose door and did not lose anything out of storage compartment.
I once passed a box van (Budget) that had a left front wheel leaning in as if the ball joint was about to let go. I tried to signal him but all he did was flip me off with a "bird". Makes one wonder if you would want to do another good deed or not.

I look at it as a lack of quality breeding stock. Their family tree is bit on the straight side with a lot of branches missing.
If they don't want to listen then get around them and watch the fun/horror in your rear view mirror.
I once passed a truck hauling A LOT more than they should. After I got around them and looked back to make sure I had cleared them to move back over in the right lane and all I saw was left side, roof, right side, underside, left side, roof, right side, underside, left side then the truck punch through the retaining fence on alligator alley in Florida. Yep they rolled it. 10 seconds earlier and I would have been involved as well. I stopped and tried one of those call boxes but did not seem to work. Others were stopping to help so hauled butt up to the next exit and found a county sheriff and told him and he went back to help.

I saw a Jeep Cherokee pulling a full sized pickup on a flatbed trailer, with a half dozen tires on a rack on the front of the trailer (between the tongue and the front of the pickup). Looked funnier than all get out - good thing he had one of those tongue jacks with a wheel on it, because I would bet my last dollar he would be dragging. I used to have a cherokee, and I wonder where the "umph" in the motor was to pull the darned thing. Clearly WAY overloaded, the back of the jeep was barely clearing the tires, and it made a lovely "chevron".
Go figure...

I was once traveling on I5 in Washington and came up on a small travel trailer with no apparent tow vehicle. I passed the trailer and was very surprised to see it being towed by a Honda Goldwing motorcycle! I've ridden motorcycles all around the world and sometimes in scarry situations but I would never do that. The TT had to be at least 5-6 times the weight of the motorcycle.
I can understand that I also had left a door flapping around and a had a nice person flashing his light on and off telling me I had a problem and I was grate full for it and did thank him
