Right, Rose, forgot about that. Always remember, don't try to salvage the LIVE wires!!
SURPRISE!! The weather man was wrong. Mid 40s today, no snow, not even any rain, cloudy, though. Now they are saying the cold will arrive late tonight or maybe tomorrow, but little chance of moisture.
Guess I better wake up the snow thrower!

DANG! I'm gettin' good at starting a new page!

We have been seeing on the news here about people stealing copper from all kinds of buildings. Ones being built and also unoccupied ones.

Another big thing here lately is Ac unit thefts. Have you noticed when the economy is bad crime rises? I even bought locking gas caps for my car/truck. Sign of the times I guess.

the weather cant make up its mind today what it wants to do. We have clouds and then we have great sunshine. keeps fluctuating.

I bathed the dog today, not that she liked it, she is so mad at me she is hiding under a bed. Hope she is ready to kiss and makeup by bed time, I kinda like her snuggled up to my feet

Well going to finish reading here and then start some dinner, you all have a good'n rose

Hello all! I've been busy these last few days with the dog. We're back to obedience lessons. Got to keep those up, bad parent, I was getting a little lazy. The weather here has been great. Hope it keeps up for Halloween. Speaking of which I'm getting the house and yard ready for that too. Rose, copper stealing is really a going concern up here as well.

Just got my cake out the oven. Smells pretty good. I should think about icing it. Just thought I would pop in. I'll check in later.
Take care everyone.

Wow 46 degrees in K C...COLD TOMORROW, but what the heck ...dh and I just decided we are goin' CAMPIN'...oh yeah and the 6 year old midget[ Emily]. She's beginning to like camping as much as we do. And yes rosie before you ask she was definitely a surprise...I know we're 54 and not suppose to have kids that young...but i wouldn't trade her for 2 puppies and bottle of crown....well maybe somedays i might. there's nothin' like taking the little red headed midget to the store and the checkout lady saying what a beautiful grand daughter you have and em tellin' her lady thats my dad..oh yeah....hope everybody has a great weekend. rick

I'll have to get more winterizing done soon too. Had an unwelcome visitor here a couple weeks back - the county tax assessor was checking on all the houses in the neighborhood. That means only one thing, have vaseline jar ready when new property tax bill arrives. Maybe we'll have to register our underwear soon so it can be taxed on a regular basis.

Hey Kelly and Rosie, I'm really not a figment of NC's imagination. I just sit at a computer about 75% of the time at work, so it's hard to make myself get on it at night. Can't wait to get our new HR. Our driveway looks empty. Guess we'll take it out over Thanksgiving. We started running away from home over T'giving about 10 or 11 years ago. I do the turkey thing in the camper. It drives the 2 boxers crazy. The kids are all grown and have to do without us for this holiday. I got tired of cooking a big T'giving and X'mas meal for a houseful that left shortly after eating to go to in-laws and eat again! We have a new Granddaughter, Kaylee Ann, born 10/17. She's a keeper. I think we'll go get her big sissy, Amber, sometime tomorrow and let her spend the night. We have kind of spoiled her, mostly NC Kathy

Well, I have to agree, those little ones are the best of us. It looks like several of us have those little ones as #1's in our lives. I have waited all day thinking my little Abigail's mom would call and ask me if I could take her for the weekend. Looks like I am going to have to call her tomorrow. Can't let the weekend go by with out an Abigail fix I can identify with that kathy, the sitting at a puter all day and then coming home to do it for fun. After I retired and we moved here I did a lot of the puter stuff for free at a local elementary school. Set up the computerized system for their media center. Added all their media that was to be loaned out in the system. That was a whole bunch of key pecking. I have a 22 year old at home, when she is here that is. Like most girls that age she is on the go a lot. Luckily I have miss abigail to bide my time with. Have you guys looked at the moon tonight?? It is so full and beautiful. My fella made it back from Atlanta, so I am going to go gaze at him, the heck with the moon rose

Hello all, got to work this morning @ 04:50 and left at 11:00, that's done!! It was a little nippy this morning with some fog, temp.
was 48 degrees, it's sunny right now and 65 degrees. Nice afternoon. I'm watching a few football games, the "main" one being WV @ Rutgers.
Also hoping Penn State will be Ohio State, but, just have to wait and see. Getting ready to either go pick up Amber, or we'll wait for her mom to bring her over here. She's going to spend the night with us tonight. Hoping to see the "new" granddaughter also today.
Well, just thought I'd drop in and wish everyone a great weekend. Ya'll take care out there, I'll catch ya later.

Frost on the punkin this morning, and no window scraper in the Jeep. Had to use the Sam's Club Card for a scraper to go get the morning paper. First time that card has been used in years! ( Nearest Sam's Club is 250 miles away!)
The temp was about 28 degrees.
Still no snow.
Put Sta-Bil in the gas tank of the Kawasaki, then took DW for a ride to get it mixed in good. A little nippy, but not too bad.
We gonna go look at a little horse tomorrow. Half pony, half Belgian. We have a mini farm, with a mini tractor and a mini pasture, we should have a mini horse, right? Of course, 1/4 of my shop will become horse stalls until I get a shed (barn) built for them. I need to build an equipment shed anyway, another little horse barn shouldn't be any problem.
Then I will need to find or build a cart for them to tow. or a wagon. or something. Small stagecoach? YEAH.....
right.

Mower, are you sure your name is not Rolof ? Just kidding of course. Sounds like you have some space there tho. We only have a couple acres here, but its more than enough when it comes to mowing.

I just came back from office max. bought ink cartridges and paper. Special going on, got a free pack of 16 AA batteries with the ink. Always use batteries when you have kids around.

Nice here, started out wet and cloudy, but right now the sun is shining. short sleeve weather.

Anyone here interested in seeing Earnhardt Jr's 88 car pics? His car is on display at the Hendrick Garage in Concord NC. Got a couple pics of it . pm me with your email and I can send them to you rose
