Can't believe temps here are 68 in Nov! I'll have to get serious this week and get all the winterizing done. Ordered some tires for DW's car for the winter. Her 50K mile tires are close to bald after only about 24K miles, wonder what happened there. Continuing one of my long term projects: culling clothes and junk around the house, simplify.
Interesting bit of math to report. I was feeling guilty about driving my diesel truck around town due to the gas mileage (around 17 hwy, 55mph). After making some assumptions on yearly miles and gas prices, I figure I would save only around $235 a year on gas if I bought an econo car to take half of the driving chores. I'm less guilty now.

Shun, it is strange weather we're having. It did get down to 30 degrees this morning, and it got up to 67 degrees this afternoon. It was sunny all day and a "tad" breezy. Little bit stayed the night and my son, daughter and "new grandbaby" showed up for dinner. All in all it was a nice day. Talk about weird, we picked a rose out of our flower garden. Put it in a vase on the dinning room table...now how weird is that? Got the 5er cleaned up inside and out, torqued the wheels to spec and filled the tires up to 110 psi. Just need to put some clothes in it before we go out for Thanksgiving. Hope all of you had a good day and a great weekend. I'm watching, yea, you guessed it, football. Colts are playing the Patriots..should be a good game..
Ya'll take care out there.

OK, I'll go first. Cool this morning, temp. was 36 degrees, it got up to 70 degrees and was sunny all day. It appears that we "might" get a little rain tomorrow. Also looks like temps. will be in the low 30's with highs only in the upper 50's to low 60's starting Wed. or so. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hope all of you had a great day and hope all of you are well. I'm watching,,yea, you guessed it, football, not really interested in it though. Going to get cleaned up and watch some of this game. Ya'll take 'er easy out there, I'll catch ya later.
Whoo hoo....I'll have the next 3 days off to catch up on house chores. This house has that low voltage switching system for the outdoor lights that have not been popular since the 60's. Switches getting old and now one is stuck "on". My electricians are not familiar with them, so I found them on line. They are made by Touch Plate. The switch I need controls 6 lights and they want $77 plus shipping, each. I need 3! I think I'm stuck. DW made a really nice dinner the other night: Chicken thigh chunks kabobs with lots of garlic salt, orzo, and cooked soybeans. Topped off with apple pie and ice cream. MMMM
Shun, enjoy your three day's off. You made me hungry after reading your post, was it good? Got pretty busy yesterday and was "kinda" tired, so I thought I'd drop in early and wish all of you a good day.
Coffee's on and dougnuts are over by the microwave...enjoy. Another busy day here, I'll try to drop in later. We've had great weather, just no rain. Lows in the 30's, highs in the upper 50's to low 60's..I love autumn...take care out there, I hope your all well.
Good morning everyone! Jim thought I'd give you a weather report from up here. We had a dusting of snow yesterday. I just went out to get the dog and it is a brisk 27 degrees out there. It was nice and "fresh" though. I'm busy trying to be busy. After reading Rose talk about her sewing machine it got the old juices running. I opened up my fabric cupboard and started going through patterns looking for a sewing project. I'm down to two. I'll spend today deciding.
Jim thanks for the coffee and the doughnuts, they sure were tasty.
I'm heading for the sewing room. Hope you all have a good day.
The fence is all strung, and the fence charger works(no, I did NOT touch the fence while it was plugged in!). Should put in a few more posts, though, there is a couple pretty long stretches between posts at the moment. I still have a few left, possibly enough to do the job. We want to split the pasture next spring, though, so I'll have to buy more then.
Youngest son got a nice three point (6 point to the Easterners) mule deer buck day before yesterday. I guess I should have gone with him, but the way my wind is so short these days, if I shot a deer I would have to build a fire and sit right there and eat it. No way I could ever get it to the Jeep, and one just better not drive to your game these days! I did go with him to sight in his rifle, took my 30-06 and popped a few. I can still hit the target! First time I have shot that thing in about 5 years. Maybe more!
Good grief, how time flies. Less than two months to the 66 B.D.!! (EDIT: Oh, wait, this is NOVEMBER, isn't it... Good grief, less than a MONTH! Yeah, time flies, it do, it do...
Ennyhoo, we should be ready to go get the horses this weekend, probably Sunday. Still need to get more hay, though.
Went out to the camper to get the hotdog toasting forks, found the battery dead. I'll have to do something about that tomorrow.
So, onward and downward on the Po' Farm...

Hi all, Temps here Upper 40's for lows and upper 70's for hi's. Got back from KC last night. Had a great time at the Garth Brooks Concert, Monday Nite. Went to the Casino, yesterday morning. Lost a little and won a little, came out about even. Not bad entertainment for nothing. Sounds like one is getting ready for winter. DW and I will pick up my DB Monday night and then head for Yuma, AZ on Tuesday or Wednesday. Hope everyone is doing well. I'll check back in later.

Weather is holding steady around here and I'm still able to ride my motorcycle around for errands. Getting those prewinter chores done around here. Headed to FL in a week but not in the RV. Time flys when you're busy.
