We got lucky here too. Low this morning was between 34 and 36 depending on which thermometer I looked at......high of 66. The blossoms on the apple tree look fine, nice and white so I think we squeaked it out. The DW is a happy girl...if she can keep the squirrels off this year she won't have to buy apples to make all her stuff. NC I hear you on the mowing and stuff I did that on Monday...looks good after you're done but weedeating that back hill was a real pain as it hadn't been done in two weeks.
I have been goofing off for a couple of days. Did get the mowing done, but gson did it for us. he did all the trimming too. Art and I made a trip over to spartanburg to replace my vac. My old one still works, but it is getting elderly and we wanted to replace it before it died. Got over to Rays sewing and vac and found out my vac is a really opular one and he had even sold his floor model.so we had him order us a new one. I get a commercial one and they work great. while I was there I checked out his sewing machines and they have a brand new one in, just out of the box yesterday. I am thinking i may get it. Just thinking tho. $7000 takes a lot of thinking. Found out the software I use now for digitizing can be used to make patterns on that machine also. thats a big plus. Going to think on this one for a week or two tho and not jump into it. Art and gson are uncovering the pool today. I am going to hide in the house, maybe make cookies or something I hate that pool uncovered. I have to watch the little kids so close. I'd like to fill the thing in with dirt.
Handbasket, if you are here lurking, we really want you to jump in with us. I am surprised you havent told Larry about my thinking you had a dishwasher! I was so jealous thinking you had a dishwasher in your rv lol
The fifth wheel awakening is progressing nicely. I went out today and checked the furnace and the microwave, they both work. So far, all the appliances work fine, including the washer/dryer, except for the electric element in the water heater. I'll have to test the element and see if it is bad.
Still haven't figured out where the water pressure is going, though. The pump just runs and runs. If I turn the valve off in the output line, the pump immediately stops, so the pump and pressure switch are working as they should. I bet it is something simple, and I'm just not seeing it! I may take a stethoscope out there and listen for running water! There is no water running on the ground, so there are no external leaks.
Lousy weather today; cold, rain and snow mixed, yeah, I know, we need the moisture.
I woke up the lawn tractor yesterday and got the lawn mowed. Didn't do any trimming, though. After the current weather system has moved through I'll do that.

Jon, I'm sure you'll figure it out...like you said, probably something simple....don't over think it..I spend more time trying to fix things sometimes by over thinking the problem...
Beautiful day here, Got to work this morning at 04:30, temp was about 48 at that time. It's 76 degrees and sunny right now....left work about 9AM, so wasn't too bad.
Did get a bit of a surprise when I got home from work yesterday, Kathy and Jennifer, (my Daughter), had mowed the yard....(yeah baby)...worked for me....
5er is ready for our next trip out...this one will be to WV, probably leave the 5er up there thru November...least that's the plan for "right now"...guess we'll see....
hope all of you are well and having a great day.
ro sie, having some "issues" on our end too....the Daughter and two granddaughters have been with us since Thursday night.....oh, well.....guess we're taking care of three more until we see what happens.....

REALLY nice here today, low this morning at 05:00 was 60 degrees, got up to 83....we're expecting some rain, and we need it....been so dry, windy and warm that we've had a lot of "wild fires" causing damage....Rain on and off starting tomorrow thru the weekend...figures, I don't have to work THIS Friday or Saturday
Hope all of you are well and having a great day....gotta run, Kathy just got home and with the daughter and two granddaughters here, it's just a "tad" hectic...
Things going well here....as Jim says we get some rain over the next couple of days a break and then some more over the weekend. Well we need the rain and I think this will herald the end of our frost chances....Jon, I hope things get warmer for you soon. ro_sie, that sewing machine must be some piece of equipment ! Jim, you sure are alucky guy to have all the lady's around AND they mow lawns ! Well I'm starting to sneak up on all the projects that need to get done before camping season starts in earnest. Biggest one will be restaining parts of the front and back deck that are exposed to the weather. Also waiting on word from UT as to when to take little Magnolia in for surgery to remove the cyst.
Gotta get the ole Silverado in for annual inspection so I can pay the State for my license plates...at least we do't have to have the TT inspected..yet. Picked up the TT from CW today after they did the brakes and bearings. Got that off the list for the GC trip, next to upgrade the transmission cooler on the Silverado.
welcome to the club NC. Just think, it could be worse.
nice here today. Looking like rain might set in later tho. art is vaccuming the pool. For a new opening, it looks pretty good. Kahlan ran out and threw her "nemo" toy in. Going to really have to watch her this year. Last year as I was working around the pool area she jumped in and I had to jump in after her, phone and all lol.
Mower, no ice in our pool this year.
I need to get the little car out and spit shine it for friday nite's cruise in. Lots of fun there.
Larry, that cool temp is the price you pay for all the beauty you have around you all year long. emvy you those beautiful views. Of course NC has his share of them too.
I found the problem with the fifth wheel water pump. Like I thought, VERY simple!
Once the tank is full, the selector valve must be placed in the CITY water position! then the pump can build up pressure in the system!
I knew that, but forgot!
I found that the CO detector was dated 1997, and the test button did nothing. I found a new one, similar but not the same, online at Safe Home Products, $69.31 including shipping. That's better than the $86-$115 that I was quoted locally!
It should be here Monday.
I checked it because I had to replace the one in the Tioga ($24.97 at Walmart). That one wouldn't cover the hole in the wall in the fifth wheel, though.
Now, if I can just figure out a good way to replace that nearly inaccessible drain hose!
