My gosh, I goof off for a day and everyone else here carries a full load. Yesterday Art, Abi and I went to yard sales. Found nothing special, but Abi miss read a sign and called it a garbage sale. Now for the rest of my life those signs will say garbage sale to me Talk about right, she got that dead on. But it is a fun thing to do when you have nothing else pressing in on you. We found one sale where they had a mountain of stuffed animals for .25. I had given Abi $5, so you can just imagine how many stuffed animals we took home. Luckily I had already tol her that everything she bought had to go home with her. She was delighted. Not sure what her other family thought tho .
We are beginning to put things in the moho. It is going to be heading over to cheraw for a few days. Cant wait. I love going to cheraw.
NC, Say hello to Kathy for me and I hope she is up and running very quickly. It is a bummer to be tied down in the spring.
Are you people lurking again? We are really getting the moho ready to roll out of here. Luckily we have that security system and also children to stay in the house while we are away.
Moon, are the tourists starting to roll in there yet? Do you get a good number of rvers there in the summer? I have a friend and neighbor that made that treck a couple of years ago. she said it was a blast. What kind of vegetation do you have there? With those harash wnters I can imagine what you have must be a very hearty type.
We may have a new poster on here soon. I hope everyone makes him welcome. His nick is silvercorvette. He sent me a private message recently and I invited him to come in.
Larry, dont tell us that you have so much grass to cut that you dont have time to get on here and post Hope to see you on here soon. Heard you have a very nice wife too. Does she like to rv?
mower, are you getting to do some rolling in your rv? come on east and maybe we can get a gander of you and your wife
Gotta get. I have two little ones today and they are being too quiet. Have a good day everyone.
Quick reply to dearest ro_sie....I have a lot.... and some is on the side of a hill....good to see you here...hope you have a great time on the trip....mower should be ready by now...chomping at the bit to go fishing....
more later ...back to the grass, and the pond, and the garage and the workshop etc....
LOL larry. If you run out of things to do, I bought a kit play house for my grands. Now all I need is to make a place to place it once it gets put together. You interested? we figure a wooden deck about 12 feet by 25 feet should do it. Need to put a deck under it and then have a little deck remaining so the kids can have their deck chairs out there. Just kidding you of course, but we do have that project in front of us. Something to work on as soon as we get home from cheraw. Now get busy, get those weeds ( ) trimmed so it looks nice at your place.
...Hey all, doggone, sounds like too much work to be done around here.....Sounds like I'm not staying as busy as y'all and I'm bout wore out from my work place.....
I bought a swing set for the granddaughters last year and it took me about 3 hrs. to put the stupid thing together, I've got a degree in Engineering and I STILL have a hard time putting some of this stuff together, like Jon said, some of these designers, (guess that's what you call them), ought to have to put some of this stuff together or work on it after it's been built...
Beautiful day around my place...It POURED the rain south of us, hailed, thundered, lightning, it was awesome,....that was at my work place, here at the house...never even sprinkled...weird weather in the mountains for sure....
Hope all of you are well and having a good day....Watching NCIS....catch ya later.

I may have to go rent a sickle bar mower if the rain doesn't quit long enough to get the grass mowed!
Of course, if I do that, might as well get the rake and the baler, too...
Nah, three bales of hay wouldn't be worth it.
OK, maybe only two.
Yep, it's about time to head for the mountains, and throw a worm in the "crick".
On a hook, of course...
Then again, maybe the first trip will be to Dead Man's Basin Reservoir. According to the fishing regulations, the salmon limit there is 35 per day, with two days limit in possession! I haven't caught any in recent memory, but IIRC they run about a foot long! WHOOPS, no, that's for snagging through the ice only, normal limit is 10 fish in possession.
I suggested to DW today that we keep the Tioga instead of looking for a DP, keep the Grand Cherokee, and find a nice little pop-up to drag to TN and other points East. She didn't throw anything at me, so maybe...
The Cherokee would get 2 to 3 times the fuel economy as any motorhome!

Mower, go big, take that moho. Traveling all that way with a popup will be hard. You will get tired of all that work putting the popup together to catch a nights rest. Not to mention the better half will be a lot more pleasant to board with.
I will be absent from here for a few days. If I can get a signal under all the trees with the aircard I will try to get on line. Not really counting on it tho. BTW, is is a fantastic day here. love that sun.
why, Why, WHY didn't that damfool designer make that door twice as wide and twice as high (four times as big). It would have made replacing that kitchen sink drain hose MUCH easier!
Not to mention easier access to the water pump and furnace!
But, I found some bilge hose that will do the job, and with the aid of a couple clamps and some silicone, it is installed, and doesn't leak. I was right, the old hose was glued in to the PVC or CPVC pipe. But, my installation should work, since there is no pressure to speak of. It also has the advantage of being easy to change, if/when needed.
It's done, and it works!
sounds like you "got er done" Jon....does make you feel good when you knock something out like that and it works....
Beautiful day here, got up to 85...got really cloudy and thundered some around 5PM or so, but it passed over and now it's sunny again.....
Counting down...three more day's of work, (unless I get called in Sunday), then 5 day's next week and we're heading up to WV to park the 5er for a bit....
Hey, I bought a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS so I could park the Dually....got a great deal and it is in REALLY great shape and only has 40,500 miles on it...purchased new in Nov. 01'....Body in great shape, paint not bad, 4 new tires and engine is good...automatic with cruise, tilt wheel, electric mirrors and windows, inside is really nice....haven't had a chance to check mpg, but I think it's around 25 city, 31 or so highway....I'll know better when I fill up again.
Got diesel last Saturday for $3.89 again....topped it off and washed it this past weekend. next time I take it out will be when we leave on the 12th...
hope all of you are having a great day and hope your all well.....
Larry, we need to meet up again for breakfest somewhere, maybe in a couple of weeks or so, in Asheville or back at Joeys...really enjoyed the meet up at Joeys.
going to go set outside on the swing for a while, catch y'all later.....
Hey folks...sounds like all is going as it should...ro_sie and Art ready to roll....Mower has everything fixed and NC is kicking back relaxing. I gues it was time I got smacked around a little. Went to bed last night with the sniffles and woke up this morning with a major sore throat. Needed to be in Knoxville at noon to take Magnolia to UT to have her cyst eliminated. So into the garage at 10 am to get going, hit the garage door button and the darn thing jumped off the track. Spent the rest of the day getting that fixed. Turned out the cable had also jumped off its pulley. So got two new pieces of track and the cable back on and the door in operation around 2:30. Actually I supervised the very talented guys who fixed it. Luckily able to reschedule the UT visit for noon tomorrow(Thursday) can't wait to see what malady I wake up with tomorrow morning. Still and all, everyday above ground and I thank the good Lord for everyone.
NC, how is Kathy mending? Hope all is well. Give her our best and when you two get back from West By God Virginia give us a call. I can always eat breakfast and I am waiting to try that place in Asheville.
