Wow, no one has anything to say....me neither, but I'll go anyway. It's a beautiful day here, sun shining down, no rain...yet, temp. is 88 degrees right now, this morning, it was 64. I'm "officially" off from work until the 14th 0h yeah! Can't really do any yard work, it's done and hasn't rained, so not enough to mow or weed wack. Guess I'll spend the next couple of day's getting the truck and 5er all ready, including the packing. Guess we'll have the son, daughter, sil and both granddaughters over tomorrow for grilled burgers and hotdogs.
Going to let the dogs in..they're at the door panting like it's in the 90's...catch ya'll later...hope your having a good day. Hope ya'll have a great July 4th weekend....later.

I went out a while ago to fire up the gas grill to cook the steaks for dinner, and the thermometer in the hood was at 175 degrees before I even lit it! Ok, it is sitting in the sun, but STILL...
It's actually only about 90 out there.
Got the boards for the trailer sideboards, and got them about half built then had to stop to get dinner going. I'll work on them some more after I take DW to work.
I may have a chance to trade the Kawasaki for a 1978 ('77? whatever) Dodge based Class C. It has the 440, headers, aluminum intake, rear view camera, and is about the right size. The guy is interested, but it is 250 miles away, and there are other people going to look at it. I told him if somebody comes up with money in hand before I can get there, Oh, well, too bad for me, that's the way it goes. We shall see...
Other than that, same ol' same ol'. Not going anywhere this weekend, no way would I go to a state park or Forest Service campground on a holiday weekend! No reservations, strictly first come first served. I would have had to go get set up not later than Wednesday!
Next week, though, after the rush, yeah, we'll go play with the boat.

Jon, I "kinda" lucked out with the Pipestem State Park thing in WV. I don't know if as many people are traveling this weekend or not, but this state park is fairly "fancy". You can find it on the internet. It's just outside of a little town called Hinton WV..has two rivers flowing through it, the New River, which originates in NC, and flows north to south. The other river is the Greenbriar River. Both are loaded with fish. Greenbriar more for Smallmouth Bass and Walleye, with channel cat's and many different pan fish. New River is larger and offers more of a variety of fish not found on Greenbriar, at least not as abundently as New River. It has larger smallmouth and Musky reach a pretty good size also. Also has, with all other fish, some pretty decent size crappie. ANYWAY, not only did they have a site available,(but not until Sunday), but they had, what we consider,
the best site to back a MOHO, TT or 5er into. It's awesome. I've prepaid to have the reservation. It's 50 amp with full hook ups. Probably a 4-5 hr. drive at 55 mph, with more then several 10% grades uphill as well as downhill for more then several miles in each direction. Guess I'll find out what the Chevy can do with the D/A towing the HR. Well, we're sitting outside on the porch, it's about 80 degrees with a slight breeze...I'm listening to my XM radio and have it on the 60's channel..hey, ya'll have a good 'un...catch ya later.
I like avoiding the crowds too. Sometimes when an RV park is full, I feel like I'm in a shanty town. Working the weekend, but I'll have the evenings off. Hope to do some local fishing next Wed. Planning the next RV trip too.

Hey! I made it home tonight. Have some of the RV unloaded, but just too tired to finish the job. Abigail called, and of course I had to take time out to go get her. In her case, play comes before work. I am going to hang it up tho and hit the sheets. You all have a good night, and NC, in your case, a great trip to WV. see ya
Come on you guys! Wake up! It's a brand new day out there. My little ray of sunshine is still snoring, and I am grateful for it I will get a bit of my chores done before she opens her big blues.
While I am thinking about it, if you guys are ever waltzing thru Missouri and need a place to over night or two, the Missouri State Fair Grounds is a good place. You just drive in and park and some one will come knock on your door and ask you how many nights you want to park there, you give him $18 for each night and you have full hookups. Only 30 amps, but hey, for $18 that works. Don't try it in the last half of august tho as that is when the fair is.
Well, I am off of here, hope you guys wake up soon to enjoy this wonderful day. see Ya
Alright now Rosie, I've been up since 05:00 this morning, not a whole lot you can do at that hour, but when I wake up, I can't go back to sleep, the DW and I have already been out to eat and done some shopping.
HAPPY JULY 4th!!! I hope all of you have a great weekend. We'll hook up with a couple of the kids and Miss Amber & Miss Kaylee a little later on today. Miss Amber want's to spend the night with us tonight seeing as how we'll roll out around 08:00 Sunday morning, she's a late sleeper (oh yeah). Anyway, the DW and I are headed back out again. It's sunny here and the temp is 70 degrees right now..just right. Chance of rain today, we need it badly, for the month of June we had this ridiculous amount of rain, (less then 1"), so we're in the drought conditions, though we haven't been out of it since this time last year.
Take it easy out there, I'll drop back in later.
The weather man says it could get close to 100 degrees today.
Maybe I can get my trailer sideboard project done before it gets TOO hot. I ran out of battery last night, and the spare had sat so long it self-discharged, so I couldn't complete the job. I wonder if it would hurt those batteries to put them on the charger every couple of weeks whether they need it or not??
I wouldn't think it would hurt anything. Toss a "trickle" charge on them for a day or so every two-three weeks. Believe you'd be ok. It's getting warm here, but Lord willing, it won't near the century mark. Ya'll can have them temps. It's 84 degrees, but it's also humid. Got me one of those hot water heater plugs with the pet-cock type valve. Just open it up and drain the water heater without removing the plug. Should have done it years ago. Well, going to go find something to do..ya'll take 'er easy, I'll drop back in later.
Happy 4th of July to you all!!!!! Got a nice rain yesterday and are expecting a little more today, maybe. It only got up to 91* yesterday and about the same for the next couple of days. Glad to here everyone is having a great time. We should be headed to Corpus Cristi, Tx in a couple of weeks. Everyone be safe and I'll check in later.
