I got the sideboards done, and the winch installed, before it got too hot. I have to trim the front board to fit around the winch roller fairlead, and install the wiring and a couple braces. Maybe this evening, if it cools off some, I'll trim the board. The wiring can wait until I get a battery.
It appears the control box for my underground sprinklers is shorted. I realized this morning that I hadn't seen the sprinklers going for a day or three, so I checked the box. It shows "PR OFF" on the display screen. popped the lower cover off, there is a one amp fuse in there. I replaced the fuse, and there was a bright flash as the new fuse melted when I plugged it back in. I bet getting that replaced (I doubt if it can be fixed, too old) isn't going to be inexpensive!
There is always something...
Paying the bank instead of a landlord has its good points, but there are times when I look back to when I was a renter, and think renting had its good points, too. Just call the landlord, "hey, this is broke, when can we get it fixed?" Then again, there are landlords who never fix anything. i have dealt with a couple of them, too.
Ennyhoo, I'm watering the grass the old fashioned way for a while.
Later, y'all...

Jon, take a break, I'm getting tired. Miss. Amber spent the night with us last night, she's a treat. The "cop" son, though he worked 6pm
yesterday evening till 6am this morning, came by around 1:00, as did the daughter and Miss. Kaylee, we had grilled hamburgers, it was nice.
It's sprinkled some today. Been overcast, been sunny, temp in the low 70's and up to 85 degrees. It's partly cloudy right now. I hope we get some rain, though it may dampen some of our camping plans, we need the rain much worse. Hope all of you have agreat weekend. Take care out there, the DW and I will not leave real early because you can't "check in" until 1pm. We'll go out and eat and leave around 8am.
It's 229 miles of some steep unhills and some steep downhills, so we'll just take our time. Have a good one, if I dont' drop back in here before we leave in the morning, ya'll take care and we'll see ya later.

"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man, healthy, wealthy & wise".
BOY!!! I've pretty well disproved that old saw 'Course, I don't know what time he meant by " early to bed", when that phrase was coined. To me, it's 23:00. Maybe that's my problem. Hey, I hope all of you have a great day, Getting ready to check the weather forecast and re-check tire pressures in all the tires. Take care out there and I hope to see all of you in here next week sometime. Take care and catch ya later.
Early for me is 10PM. I like sleeping from 10P to 6A or so. I get to do that when I'm on day shifts. Doing day shifts currently. Fetched my little fishing boat from grandpa's house finally after 4 years. Just needs a little dusting off. Plan to take the kids out locally for some fishing next week.
Also planning an RV trip to Valentine, NE, then to the Black Hills, finally to De Smet later in the month. That will be our big trip for the season. Hope everyone is having a great 4th weekend!

Hey, Shun, let me know when you will be in the Black Hills, I'll look at the work schedule and see if I can get there to meet up with you. It's only about a day and a half drive from here.
Jon, that would be cool! Dates will be around 28-30 or so. Our camping friends will be in Valentine with us from 7/25 but not sure how long they will stay. I'll post when dates are firmed up. Maybe I can get the score for Charlie Daniels
It's been great this week, hi's in the low 90's and rain showers every day. We expect this for the next couple of days and then back to hot and dry. Just thought I would bump this to the front. page 6 ????????

My gosh, it looks as tho it has been too quiet in here. For my part, we had an awesome night time show here. Complete with sound effects. I lost my puter which is currently being worked on. Burned up my wii as well as my cable modem. Thankfully we have an aircard as well as this slow old laptop. Hopefully I will be back up and running soon. You all take care and hope to be back here soon.
ro_sie, sorry to here about all of your electronics. Did this happen at home or out on the road. I lost a couple of tv's and some fsr radios, microwave and fridge a couple of years ago. Boy, it all goes quick. Glad you and Art are ok. This place gets a little empty in the summer. so I thought I would make some homemade ice cream and some fresh strawberries with some whipped cream to help fight the loneliness. Have a great day.
Good evening to everyone. We're back! Time flies when your having fun. Had a great week, had some rain early in the week, but it rained either early in the morning and cleared up, or rained in the evening. Thurs., Fri. and Saturday were beautiful. All in all a good time was had by all. Our son, DIL, and two grandsons drove from Blacksburg Va to where we were camping (approx. 64 miles) and spent Friday night with us. It was great. Got there and back with no issues, I have to admit, I was impressed with sig. TV towing the 5er up several very long grades in WV,VA and TN and holding back the load coming back. I averaged 10.2 miles per gallon...no gold medal, but if you had seen the mountains that I towed over, I'd think you'd feel the same as I did, that it was pretty good mpg for the trip. While towing, I only ran 55-60 mph, thought I'd see what kind of mpg I'd get. While not towing, I averaged around 17.5 mpg..also thought that was pretty good. I paid as high as $4.79 and as low as $4.56 for diesel..it's a sad day when you think, "hey, that wasn't too bad".
Hope all of you had a great weekend and all is well with you. Rosie, I read about your electrical problems, as Joe asked, was it in the MOHO or at your residence? I hope it won't be too much to get it all fixed. It's been overcast here just about all day, got up to a muggy 84 degrees, sprinkled a little and that's been about it. Oh, it just started a light rain now. Had the daughter and Miss Amber & Miss Kaylee over around 1:30 and the son left a little while ago. We're tired, probably going to hit the rack early. Ya'll take care, I'll stop back in tomorrow.
