We are planning a 12 day cruise-tour to Alaska. Cruise leaves from Vancouver BC and We fly back to Vancouver from Fairbanks. Does anyone know of an RV Park where we can both stay and store our MH and Toad that is reasonably close to both Cruise dock and Airport. Or what has been your expierence in this situation? The closest RV park we have found is 25 minutes from Cruise ship and 45 min. from the airport. Would have to take taxi both ways. Could be VERY expensive. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help you may offer... Don

Hopefully some locals will give more precisely info, but from my travel to Victoria I know there are lot of ferries operating in this area.
You might want to consider parking the motorhome in Seattle area and use ferry to cross the border.

These are the 2 closest to the cruise ship terminal.
I have not stayed in either but I know both are about 1 hour from the airport in different directions.
The first one is then a short drive over the Lions Gate Bridge and then to the cruise ship dock about 20 minutes
The second is about 40 minutes from the ships. I have heard they MAY have a some kind of a shuttle to town.

The problem is the docks and the airport are at opposite ends. Possibly your best bet is to use Capilano RV Park (at the foot of Lions Gate Bridge in North Vancouver), which is about 15 minutes from the docks. If you aren't adversed to using public transport, you can get bus service from the airport to downtown and then take a taxi over the bridge to the RV Park. Bus cost is $3.25 per person. Taxi from downtown to the RV Park, I'm not sure, maybe $15 [edit] Skippy beat me to it.

I did some research last year for another member to park a large MH while he went on a cruise. (I think it was a cruise) I found him a place to park near the airport in a secured compound, a short distance from the airport. I know they have shuttle buses going downtown from the airport. The cruise terminal is underneath the Vancouver Trade and Convention Center, with the cruise ships docked outside the building. I'd suggest parking it near the airport and using the shuttle to the cruise center. I believe they go right to the Van T&C center, AKA Canada Place.
If you want, I could try to dig up the info I passed to the other member last year.

On edit, I dug up the info anyways:

It is called Airport Park & fly. Here is their website:

Park & Fly

A year ago in June I was quoted $69.95 a week and $14.95 a day for parking the MH. Not sure about the toad in your case.

This is really close to the airport.

Of course, now that I went back and re-read your post I see you want to stay and park. This place is good for parking only.

BCRV, Burnaby Cariboo RV Park has or had a pkg for people who are taking a cruise. We used it about 5 years ago. They might have a toll free number or check the website.

From their website: BCRVPARK

"Taking a cruise? Ask about our cruise storage packages,
starting at $315.00 Cdn., includes 3 night stay & 7 night storage"

Why don't you drop off the MH at the long term parking at the airport and take the toad to the boat parking lot.

There has to be at least one storage site. In the November issue of Highways magazine, pg 51, the Alaska cruises add says "free RV/rig parking,(a $165 value)".
