Call it a "Cummings" again and those cowboys might string you up. You drive a Cummins, cumming is something you do at home.

Has anyone put a chip in their dodge truck yet? If so what brand and how did it perform?

Thanks for the input!

Theres lots of choices but be aware you chip or retune it and Dodge wont warranty it. Also dont even consider chipping a TV without a full set of gauges. The EGT's on the new CTD run pretty high stock. You'll find out you dont need it chipped to tow well anyway.

Any body changed out the tires for larger tires... 285's? If so has it done anything to the handling?

I have 325/70-17s Toyo Open Country ATs on mine. I also added King shocks, CSS coilsprings and Deaver leafsprings and it now rides better, handles better, tows better and is an animal running fast in the desert!

If you had a chevy d/max before, which I think you said you did, you know that it is possible to do the cumming thing even while driving

I wanted a set of gauges and shopped around quite a bit. I ended up buying a Juice/Edge/Attitude module to monitor everything but the tranny temp. My local Dodge dealer recommended it and said that they have installed many before. I purchased a separate pillar mount tranny gauge. I LOVE THE JUICE!! It monitors (with the exception of tranny temp) everything! EGT, engine temp, boost, rpm, engine load, air box temp, torque converter lock, slip, and it will display actual speed based on tire size!. Not to mention that at the push of a button, you can bump the power up to amazing levels. It was expensive, but I do use it all the time. It is nice to have the ability to monitor everything. If I were to buy everything separate, it would have been a lot more expensive. Since you need to have gauges if you are going to boost the power/performance, the Juice module is the answer in my opinion.

I prefer the Quadzilla Commander over the Attitude, it has more capabilities.

That black 3500 is a thing of beauty! I love the black wheels.

What is the concensious on 5th wheel towing with that short bed? Extended kingpen or ?

I have a 16k Reese sliding hitch...on my Ford I only have to slide it to get in my driveway...but it's optional...and I have the short bed.

Can you get away with no sliding it often or is it a constant thing with that bed?
