I'm half-way through the new Jeffrey Deavers paperback, "The Sleeping Doll."

It's not Lincoln Rhymes, but his newest lead character, Kathryn Dance...and it's very good!

I had never read Jeffrey Deaver; someone gave one of his novel to me and I really liked it. I'll have to look for The Sleeping Doll.

Rebecca

Rebecca, I have several of his books--they are all good.

This one is especially interesting because Kathryn Dance uses kinesics in her work. I hope he includes her in more of his books.

First Deaver book you should read is The Bone Collecter--it's his first Lincoln Rhyme novel.

I'm reading David Weber's On Basilisk Station, the first Honor Harrington book.

'THE APPEAL' -John Grisham

A Painted House was one of my favorite Grisham novels. So different from his other books. I bought Playing for Pizza hoping it will be as entertaining. I will take me some time to read it though. My books are stacking up.
I am now reading Judge and Jury by James Patterson and the next book I read will be The Childrens Blizzard by David Laskin.

I have a very short attention span (PTSD) so it is hard for me to read books, even long magazine articles. Now--my sister has written a book and my wife help edit it. My wife is an avid reader and says it is a good book. Barnes & Noble, Amazon both carry it. If anyone here reads it would you post your opinion please? I'm waiting for it to come out on tape or CD.

"The Cellomaker" by J. Avram Werner.

Barnes & Noble website has a good synopsis of it HERE.

"Double Cross," by Patterson...so far, so good. They always are.

Still listening to John Grisham's "The Summons" while walking in the morning...it's very good, and the reader is excellent.

"Boys Will Be Boys" by Jeff Pearlman.
It's about the glory days and party nights of the Dallas Cowboys dynasty. If you like football, an interesting read, but I would give it an "X" rating for language & sexual content.
If you are a Cowboys fan it's a must read, but I wonder about the validity of some of the details.

Hey retired frog, if you are talking about the Michael Irvin incident (though there ARE saltier parts), a number of ex-players and Jimmy Johnson have all commented and corroborated it. The book has been pretty well covered in the football blogs, too. I'm a Pats fan but definitely will read it.

In car, World Without End. In bed, Sunday at Tiffany's. I'm slacking, nothing on computer.
