"London Bridges", by James Patterson, also reading on and off Sir Richard Burton's translation of 1001 Arabian Nights, the International Collectors Library edition.
Next up is an omnibus volume of Dashiell Hammett novels, I.E. Maltese Falcon, Thin Man, etc....

For the Patterson fans, did anyone else read "You've Been Warned"? I thought it was way below the usual Patterson fare...actually kind of dumb, but maybe that was because the story was so un-Patterson like.
Just started "The Devil's Teardrop" by Jeffrey Deaver, and expect it to be good.
And listening to "The Devil in the White City," a historical tale of the Chicago World's Fair with a serial killer parallel. It is so fascinating, I thought it was well-written fiction at first. The author is Erik Larson. I might not have stuck with it in print, but the audio is terrific.
Dashiell Hammett, currently on Red Harvest, but the volume I have is an omnibus, so it has "Red Harvest", "The Dain Curse", "The Maltese Falcon", "The Glass Key", and "The Thin Man."
Picked up a book by a new (to me) author: Lost Girls by Andrew Pyper. He's very wordy, very descriptive and starts to create a web of, as the cover says, psychological terror. He sneaks it up on you and catches you unaware and unprepared. Think I'm gonna like this guy!
Havent' started it yet, but Tim Jeal's biography of African explorer Stanley is next on the pile sitting next to the bed.

I thought "You've Been Warned" was not his best, by far. "The Devil's Teardrop" was my first Deaver novel and I love it. I'm on my third of the Lincoln Rhyme series.
Dry, a Memoir by Augusten Burroughs. He is the author of his memoir Running With Scissors. I would definately recommend his books, only if you don't get horrified by vivid descriptions of, well, very questionable things. I think his writing is great, and his books are great. I just do not agree with his life style, which you read alot about.
on computer, ''The Story of Edgar Sawtelle'', David Wroblewski
in bed, ''lady Killer'', Lisa Scottoline
and something stupid in car, can't remember.
upcoming ''Can't Remember What I forgot'' !! Sue Halpern
Tom, Katz, Kelcee, Ashlee, Nina and Lucee all in a 22ft 1992 Toyota Dolphin !!!
