I purchased at Drenks in San Diego which was recently purchased by McMahons and their service department is excellent.

The guy who runs it is named Hip and he fixes every last item my DW writes down and everything is done correctly, quickly and they are nice, patient people.

I would buy from them again just because of their service department.

There is no such thing as "Customer Service" in any industry any more.
Most companies idea of Customer Service is a phone message or e-mail that tells you someone will get back to you within 72 hours. Or someone that answers the phone in some third world country that cant even fake english well enough to understand what the hell they are saying.

I have to update my praise of Carson Toy Store, since my last post.

Last summer, I took my trailer to them for a water tank problem, fuel pump issue and related propane line re-routing. I was also informed there was a recall on my trailer for a heater vent issue.

My trailer's manufacturer agreed to pay for the water tank replacement and re-routing of the propane lines. I would pay out of pocket for the fuel pump, if needed.

The trailer was at Carson Toy Store for 3 months!!! The entire summer was blown . My kids never got to go camping last season. The season before, we couldn't go camping because my Ford F350 was a lemon and we couldn't drive it or haul the trailer while suing Ford Motor Co. (we won). So that made 2 summers without camping, all the while making the trailer payment.

Carson replaced the water tank with two water tanks. They dont' fill like the old tank and my water full indicater is questionable in accuracy.

They didn't re-route the propane line like instructed and it remains under the water tanks, where it could be sheared off if there was an accident.

My Fuel pump was blamed on me. That really ticked me off. Pure laziness..it's broken and won't work intermittenly...usually when I need it.

They also said they took 10 gallons of gas out of the fuel tank and then put the 10 gallons back in for testing. It was more like 10 gallons out and 5 gallons in. I got jipped.

The trailer had a flat tire, large scratch and ding on the front and dead batteries when I arrived to pick it up. The tire is flat again, in my driveway now.

After demanding to speak with the owner of the place, he explained they were having employee problems, etc. He is a new owner.

They gave me two brand new batteries and filled the flat. He also agreed to re-route the propane lines as agreed and actually fix the recall if I brought it back.

Well...that's great, but I'm not in the mood to drive it 4 hours round trip to this authorized dealer, so it can sit there for months and get banged up again.
I also have a bad feeling about the black tank and why it's full now...since it was in their lot. Service-dirt-bag-employee restroom facility for the summer?

Maybe if the snow melts, I can get it to a dealer this winter and try try again. Guess, I can duck tape the toilet shut, put some bubble wrap around the entire body of the trailer and then show up every day to inspect the progress.

Anyway...service is an illusion.
