Roadtrek, Great West, Pleasure-Way, Vista by Gulf Stream, LTV - they all look very similar - why did you choose a particular make/converter - was it price, quality, features or some other reason?

Hey Super K,
It's human nature for alot us to praise our own choice.
We wanted the most open, airy Sprinter available that had a second row of seats for multiple uses and multiple people. That led us to the Roadtrek conversion.

We were looking for floorplan and features that met our needs, and quality. From what we got from reading these forums and our own observation, Pleasure-Way, LTV, and Great West were in one quality class, others a class down. Roadtrek did not make a Sprinter when we bought and we didn't consider the Airstream because its floor plan did not suit us.

Floorplan and feature wants vary widely based on planned use and personal preferences.

I chose the floor plan that had the most storage. I also liked the fixed bed. Since there was only 2 of us, I didn't worry about inside living space as long as I can stay out of the way.

For us, it was the floorplan and available storage.

More than 99% of the time it's just the 2 of us, so the extra seating wasn't important. But we still wanted the sofa in the rear.

Also, as card carrying members of the street rod and custom car scene, we liked the colors

They do look similar at first, so really compare floor plans and features closely. Quality, floor plan, size and comfort were most important. Also the type, size and placement of appliances were important to us. Take your time to decide what is most important for you and how you plan to use your van. Everyone has different needs. For us in 2006 the LTV on the Sprinter chassis was our choice. Absolutely no regrets.

We all had reasons for choosing the manufacturer we did. I liked the RS' versatility, fit and finish. We have no regrets so far. As you can see it is very subjective. You can't go wrong with the top 4 or 5 manufacturers. See them all and you will know which is best suited for you. Ron
