Part number for the blower resistor is 0533432AA from Dodge, you can give that number to any Dodge dealer, it does not have to be an authorized Sprinter dealer. I will pm you the page from the manual.

baywoodbill wrote: ecklein, I'm sure the 2006 has a resonator. As I understand it, the item was added either in the late 2004 model run or beginning with the 2005. Ours is a 2005 and it is most assuredly there; reading in this and the Sprinter Forum (www.sprinter-cource.com) I understand the resonator has been a part of the Sprinter until the end of production of this version of Sprinter. After reading several posts in this thread last year, I thought maybe my 2004 Sprinter didn't have a turbo resonator but I never physically checked. And I had never had a problem in my first 50K miles and many seem to have the problem early on.
That was a bad assumption. We got up two days ago and started out in the fog in New Brunswick and when we got to the first hill, it was obvious we had a problem. There was a Sprinter dealer fairly near by but their Sprinter tech was off until next Monday so no help there. We "limped" all the way to Boston sightseeing along the way. We got it fixed this morning in Boston and it was the turbo resonator. Our LTV is a 2005 conversion on a 2004 chassis so the resonator is on late model 2004 Sprinters.
I will be buying a spare.

One additional tid-bit, the Q5 resonators SEEM to not have the seperation problem found on the Q3 models. I say "seem" because I haven't seen any reports on their failure. My '06 had a Q3, so I changed to the aluminum one before I left on this trip.
The "Q3" & "Q5" identifiers are on the little white tag stuck on the side of the resonator, it is usually possible to read the tag from below with a flashlight.

Lots of info about Turbo Resonator on the Sprinter Forum, of course.
BTW, you can report a Turbo Resonator failure to the NTSA through an on-line link (available at the Sprinter Forum or with a Google search). If even HALF the folks with a failure reported it to the NTSA there would most assuredly be a recall; something Daimler Chrysler Vans LLC should have done a year ago!
Help your friends with late '04 through '06 Sprinters; file a report if your resonator fails!

Recalls are usually only issued if the problem results in unexpected total loss of power (engine quits), failure of a brake or steering component unexpectedly or a problem that can result in a fire. The Sprinter resonator situation does not stall the engine, the check engine light comes on, there is a limit in engine power of 2000 rpm max, even with the hose completely off the engine still runs. A recall will not likely be forced by the government. A couple of concerns that can result in engine stalling are the fuel quantity solenoid malfunction which I have seen on several 2006's and a few 2005's with "advanced mileage" and wire chaffing of the ecm harness under the dash on the brake pedal support bracket. The ECM wire chaffing only stalled one van, only because I made a point of checking the entire fleet for the same situation afterwards, about 70% showed some signs of chaffing.
