I have a question for you camper van owners. Isn't the interior of camper vans difficult to move around? I mean, I've never owned one but I've been inside a few of them and in my idea it has a lack of room. On a scale of 1 through 10, how would you rate the comfort of the interior? I would rate it a 4!
My first and previous coach: 2002 R-Vision Trail-Lite Class A 25'
My replacement: 2004 Winnebago Journey 32'
its a lot more comfortable then a tent but lacks some compaired to something bigger but its a lot better on fuel and easyer to get around in,a 4 is about right.
1985 Class A Holiday Rambler Imperial 33 +1979 Class C Holiday Rambler Statesman 1000 = 24 ft
I think small people would find it just fine for short trips and camp outs.

Are they too small for what?
I can think of a lot of things they are too small for.
If you asking if they are too small to park in the middle of the isle and take up 20 parking places in a Walmart lot like the A.H.'s in their 40 foot Blunders do, yes they are.
They are also too small to take up all the truck parking in rest stops.
They are even too small to have a slide out hanging out in the roadway in a campground (or a Walmart).
But as far as inside goes,I am 6' 2" and 260 lbs and I can "move around" in our Van just fine.
Plenty of room to drive; plenty of room to eat; plenty of room to sleep; a little tight in the bathroom.
Hell there is even enough room to slow dance.
They are not made to take the place of a home: they are made for traveling.
So in that regards they are not too small, they are just right.
For what they are made for I give them a 10.
The advantages outweigh the disadvantages by far.
1. Park anywhere, anytime. Only one parking space.
2. Good fuel mileage
3. Comfortable inside with all the luxury items you could ask for (TV, genny, etc).
4. Larger bathroom/shower (aisle shower) than most big motorhomes
5. Large kitchen too.
6. Rear bed is very comfortable - and a comfortable lounge area too.
7. This is our second vehicle. Better use of your RV. (Use more often than larger MH's).
(Another words, you don't have excuses to not take the van out for a drive - "too big to park on main street," "terrible gas mileage," "it is windy today", "it is raining," etc.)
8. Truly fun to drive and see the landscape. Isn't that why we get these things?
Having said the above, I think two people is enough. If you try to bring in a family of 4, then it is getting a bit tight.
I would "try" out class B's before purchase (maybe renting one) to see if you can get "comfortable" with the size. I think it is amazing how the mind "forgets" that it is smaller space than other larger RV's when you have been in the van for a while. The windows/skylights and mirrors give it a sense of roominess. It works.
It seems large enough and comfortable to us. We give it a "10."
Let's see...
Your a "Winnebago Fan" and Winnebago's smallest product is a Class C.
You describe the Class B as a "camper van", a common term that is a step above "camping."
Catch my drift?
So based on your terms I agree, comfort gets a "4" compared to Class C's or Class A's. We way overpaid for a "4" but enjoy it alot.

I own a Gulfstream Vista Cruiser and just camped for 2 nights at a KOA in Virginia Beach. My wife and I find the Sprinter Van very comfortable for 2 people and we are looking forward to a cross country trip this summer. My only complaint was the bed seemed a bit uncomfortable the first night so I drove to Target (after a 5 minute disconnect from water and electric) and easily parked at the store. I purchased a memory foam mattress and slept very well the second night. I can't imagine driving and parking a class A or even a C so..... I rate our van a 10! Bruce

What are you looking for? A second home? In that case, the interior of a Class B would be a 1. A great touring vehicle? In that case, the interior of a Class be would be a 10.
A Class A and Class C motor home are used for totally different purposes, IMO. They are used to get from Point A to Point B, and then stay at Point B for a while. Like staying at campgrounds for a week or more at the time.
A Class B is a touring RV. It's for driving the open road, visiting various sites along the way, and to provide you with a mobile hotel suite as you travel.
I would never travel across the USA, siteseeing, visiting the many great vista's in America using a Class A, or Class C. [Having said that, if you have a family, you may be forced into a smaller Class C. A Class B isn't practical for a family of 4, including teenagers]

Greetings and a tip of my cap to FLSTFI...couldn't have said it better myself. We had a "C" for a few years and then an "A" and our "B" is just like Goldlocks and the Three Bears...it's just right.
Stay Safe....Bob.
We have recently gone from a small class C back to a B. For two people who want to travel, not be in one spot more than a couple of days, and see the country a B works well. At least for us. We loved the room of our small C with slide. It was a completely different experience for a compeltely different type of travel.
We have spent up to two weeks at a time in a B and never felt cramped. We also find that our B has almost as much USEABLE storage space as our C had.
We go places in our B that I would never feel comfortable trying to drive a C, including remote mountain areas and heavy city freeway traffic.
And my wife can drive the B with confidence and she was not comfortable driving something eight feet wide and ten feet tall. Candidly, neither was I that comfortable except just going down the road.
Once we got there, we loved the C. But getting there, we now enjoy the journey. We have owned two Cs and 3 Bs in 25 years of RVing. We will never go back to anything larger than a B again for our lifestyle and travel habits.
