When you call the Jellystone RV park, tell them you are with the rv.net rally and you will receive 20% off regular camping fees. The phone # is: 1-989-652-6668 or you can make reservations at: frankenmuthjellystone.com. and mention RV.NET!
Sites 241-258 are better for big rigs (38'+ multiple slides). I'm presently in site #256 and Jim/2cyber71 is in site #258. If you want a good site, do the smart thing and make your reservations ASAP!
Jellystone will only put one night on your credit card and if you cancel a week before the rally starts, they will only keep $5.00 as a handling charge.
Frankenmuth is Michigan's #1 tourist destination and you may want to check out: www.frankenmuth.org. As I mentioned earlier, this Frankenmuth III rally is the last one I'll be hosting. The sites are level, the staff is excellent, the park is 1/2 mile from downtown Frankenmuth, but a shuttle bus comes to the park every 1/2 hour to shuttle campers to Zehenders in downtown Frankenmuth.
Periodically I'll make a list of those rv.net members with actual reservations. If you think you can wait until the last minute and get a reservation or a good spot, forget about it! My wife (Joanne) and I will get there on Wednesday (a day early) and will be there to help you in any way possible. We've been going to Frankenmuth for years.
We look forward to seeing all the good rv.net folks in Frankenmuth next June. Invite a friend (rv'er) if you like! stay tuned for my posts or announcements! ..... "Activities Report"
We have a tentative Weiner roast set up for Thursday night. Friday morning at 7:00 AM, we're taking a group of folks over to Tony's restaurant for breakfast. I'm looking for a volunteer to take a second group over at 8:00 AM as some folks may not be early risers. Tony's is a very special restaurant with huge servings of food!
Friday night is pot luck dinner and I'm looking for a volunteer or co-volunteers to coordinate this event. For example, we don't want 10 members bringing potato salad. Therefore, I'm looking for one or two good managers/planners.
Saturday morning at 8:00 AM we're going over to Satow Drug, yes a drug store for breakfast and any rv.net member are welcome to join us there.
Saturday night is open for members to either have dinner back at the park or dine at one of Frankenmuth's excellent restaurants. We're going to Tiffany's Food & Spirits and I know there will be others joining us, but there are plenty of other good places to eat and members may want to group up and do dinner together.
I strongly advise everyone to visit the Bavarian Bakery in the basement of Zhenders and Bronners; the largest Christmas store in the world!
On Sunday morning the park puts on a very reasonable pancake, sausage, and OJ. Coffee is FREE!
My best reccomendation for anyone attending this rally is to find other couples that you have something in common with and do things together. In all reality, their is probably more things to do in Frankenmuth than what can be worked into a three day weekend.
Please feel free to PM me for any advise such as how do I get around the 2 mile section of I-75 that is closed down in Detroit. There will be (4) moderators at this rally. Lets make this enjoyable for all!!! Chuck/Bagman.

bagman wrote: We had a Frankenmuth I and a II and I'm seriously considering a Frankenmuth III next June. Right now I'm trying to figure out if there is enough interest for us to go ahead with this project. Frankenmuth, Michigan is the #1 tourist attraction in Michigan and several rv.net members have mentioned to me at other rallies we have attended that they would like to come back to Frankenmuth. Once I weigh out the response and if it is positive, there will be a Frankenmuth III. Regards, Chuck/Bagman.
Had so much fun at the last one, if we can we will be there!! Anything we can do just let me/us know

I know that there is a certain group of rv'ers that definitely will come and basically I can say that I'm 90% certain that Frankenmuth III is a GO! Stay tuned, Chuck/Bagman.
