Ah, but Jon, I got a pull thru. (you probably did too) And the last 2 times I've backed it into the driveway, I got it right where I wanted it on the first try! It only took me 5 years to get to that point, but I got there.
Well by golly the weather report does not look too good from here in Idaho. Thinking seriously that I will come down the Gorge instead of cutting up into Washington. I-5 looks like it might be a lot better drive than trying to come over Snoqualme on Monday or Tuesday.
BigDog, coffee will work for me from Thursday morning on. Headed over the Blues here in a few minutes as they are talking snow tomorrow and I want to be on the other side of that downgrade before that.
Is there a good place to dry camp somewhere west of GoldenDale on the Oregon side? I seem to remember that there was a spot down by where the Pars Sailers play that you could pull over on the river and dry camp?

The biggs bridge on 97 is closed for construction until May 23rd. To get to Maryhill you would have to cross at the Dalles and comeback to it.

Just took the RV in to have the transmission serviced. Loading up and heading to Silver Springs Nevada for 10 days and then to Oroville Ca. to see my kids. One stop at Seven Feathers on the way back and then to the rally. Hope by then it warms up some. Trying to decide the best route to Reno...over Mt. Hood or down through Shasta. I don`t want to get into snow.
Retired05,
A few days ago came up from Reno. No snow anywhere that would bother you. The drive from Reno to McCloud is one of the prettiest drives. A really nice camp ground at McCloud, across the street from the standard station. They had the highest gas on the trip $3.89.
Check the Oregon trip check and you can see all the passes, they are clear as of today. Just checked.
Came througth Silver Spring coming up. Not much there.
Moporgo forgot about the bridge closure.the daily distance tradewinds is making on his return trip by the time he gets there the bridge will probibly be open.
Retired05, go to www.tripcheck.com and find Government camp. You are way too late to miss the snow! At the moment Siskiou Summit is dry, bare, no snow, and sunny. I'd beat it south in one heck of a hurry! Then try and find a good route over the CA mountains before the snow.
