Hey, don't knock that rock! It was so close to the campfire (ummm...bonfire?) that it was a GREAT spot to sit. Kept the buns toasty warm - LOL! They had the best seat in the house
Denise - We'll keep your mom in our thoughts and prayers. Glad that they were able to patch her up with no lasting damage, and that it wasn't more serious. What a way to end a relaxing weekend Hope she's feeling better soon
DBConley wrote: We made it home safely but not without incident. My mom and dad were about 20 mins from GB and my mom was walking around in the motorhome (yes, we let her have it!) and a police officer walked out in front of the RV to get a huge piece of cardboard out of the middle of the road. My dad had to put on the brakes, mom went flying and hit her head on the box for the levelers. Blood was everywhere. My mother in law helped clean it up and get ice on it. She wouldn't go to the hospital until they got home. She just called on her way home and the cut was 5 inches deep, stitches underneath and 15 staples but other than that, she is ok. I'm sure she will be sore tomorrow!
We had a great time this weekend! We have already booked for next year. It was great to see everybody and meet some new friends! Tom & Dani - we had a great time hanging! The kids are going to be so bored missing their buddies TJ and Sugar! Roberta & Ken...you home yet? George & Rosetta? Beverly and everybody at DB were awesome! Beverly told us we have the Pavilion and Lincoln Hall for next year too!
Oh my word! I hope she is Ok! I will be thinking of her!!!
We had a wonderful time and scheduling permitting will do it again next year. Everyone was great and Leah made alot of new friends. I wish we had more time to meet everyone. Doug and Pat, Nicholas won our heart.
Denise, sorry to hear about your mom, hope she's ok. Leah had a great time with Amanda, she still talking about the candy bingo to her brothers and sisters. Your parents were wonderful and we hope to see you all again.

Glad y'all got home safe and sound. We usually stay the extra day, but Chris' boss was none too pleased with all the leave we took for the summer rallies, so we cut it short this year After all the traffic getting home yesterday, we were both wishing we'd stayed - LOL!
Hi everyone, and thanks to all for a great weekend. We still had a great time despite the weather. Having the hall was really a life saver, and I think that drummerboy campground stepped up to the plate and made sure everyone (almost) was accommodated. Thanks to everyone who made this thing possible and really worked hard to make sure it came together. It was nice to meet a lot of new people, and to reacquaint ourselves with our friends from Elk Neck. I will say that the sites were very small, and the campfire placement had a lot to be desired, but we made out ok. (even though our neighbors were quite noisey) Charlie and Ripken were spent last night, as was I from the packup. Boy, that is one time I wish I had a class C or A, when folding up the tent ends in the rain. Fun city!!!
