We do it every year with any where from 13 to 15 sites and anywhere from 60 to 100 people at one time. Most S.F. and State parks here in Michigan only allow up to 8 people per site.

We camp every year with about 30 relatives in friends at a provincial park. We need 7 sites to accomodate everyone. We have mapped out 3 or 4 groups of sites that would work for us. Every year, one of us is delegated to book all the sites. We are usually successful in getting adjoining sites. A few comments on group camping. First decide up front what the meal situation will be. We used to try to all eat together but it was a zoo and someone was always doing dishes. Now we all eat on our own. Second, make sure everyone understands they don't have to do everything as a group. We usually meet in the mornign, get some idea of what the day will be like (Example: Uncle Fred is going to lead a hike, Uncle George is driving into town, Aunt Sandy has offered to take a group to the kids activities, Uncle BOb is going to sit right here and watch the fire). Finally, be sure to try to get a group photo. We ahve been going for 10 years now and it is funny to see our pre-teens and all their cousins on the annual camping trip! Good luck!

For years, our various family members would have an annual tent camping family reunion (over a two week period). Basically we'd reserve 3 sites (each allowing two tents), and as the various family members arrived they'd pick whichever one fit their needs - some had their own tents, others we'd play host too. We rotated meal preparations, and clean up. And, we rotated ice trips and/or grocery runs. Everyone contributed.
State Park campgrounds generally have bathhouses with shower facilities, so that shouldn't be a problem.

My wife grew up camping with her aunt and uncles and cousins and there was 7 in her family. My brother and I were in boy scouts and that was the only camping that we did. We have camped with her mom and stepdad over the years but last summer we did a big family camping trip. It was my wifes mom and stepdad, her sister and her husband, their daughter and her husband and baby, the wife and our son, daughter and her boyfriend. We had a great time and I hope to do it again this summer. Sometimes we cooked a big family meal other times we each cooked for ourselves. We went to a NYS campground and used their shower facilities. We took a ton of pictures and it is fun to relive that trip at family get togethers. The best part is being part of the baby's first camping trip. We reserved a few sites next to each other and used my site as a common area for meals and fires. Go for it and enjoy time spent with friends and loved ones!!!!

We do this every summer.
We like Fall Creek Falls sp in TN
You can have 8 on a site.a lot of people have up to ten.
They don't care how many you have as long as you are respectful to other campers and quite hours.
We even asked the host.
This is a great place to take a large group.
Golf course
Pool
hiking trails
Softball every night for campers
water falls and swimming holes
bike trails
we like loop A

Our family had a reunion at a resort campground that had cabins as well as campsites. Three family members had RVs the rest opted for cabins. We also had a big tent for the boys aged 5 - whatever. There were a lot of giggles heard from that tent! I only wish I had had a tape recorder. That was one of the better reunions that the family had.

We also have a huge family and growing. I know that its imposssible to get everyone on the same site. Trust me you dont want to do that anyway. What has always worked for us is several sites set up 2 or 3 close toghether for evening meal. Everybody bring dish to pass as well as evening snack If there are children and there always are, have everyone bring a soft drink to share. Its always a great time and at the end of the evening it is nice to go back to your own site for peace and quiet and away time trust me you need it with large groups. We are the only family with a large RV so its really nice to goto Rv for a couple of quiet hours before next days events. But I love it..
