Gary, I noticed Marilyn in the photos and it looked like she was fixing some good food. The Campground looks great, great photos, looking forward to being with you and all the gang. Bob/Jane
Congratulations, Bob! Yours was the 100th post to the topic! You don't win anything, but isn't the recognition great?
I bet Judy never dreamed how much her "little" get-together would grow!! I'm sure looking forward to it, and can't wait to see you and everyone else, too!

After arriving home from our trek to North, I searched for the NE NE BEE Social forum to see if there were any updates. Yes, Marty, Jack and I are surprised by the response. I searched the Niobrara Website and was not able to search availability of sites. This following information will help you, if interested in attending:
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's reservation service will be unavailable Jan. 1, 2008 at 9 a.m. CST through Jan. 16, 2008 at 8:59 a.m. No reservations, changes or cancellations will be accepted during that time, either online or through the call center.
The Commission is joining ReserveAmerica to make reservations to state park areas easier. The new system will include easy-to-use maps, photographs and a shopping cart so users can reserve multiple arrival dates or multiple type of units such as cabins, campsites, picnic shelters and lodge rooms.
Beginning Jan. 16, 2008 at 9 a.m., users may go online or call to book reservations up to 12 months in advance. Online reservations can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.OutdoorNebraska.org or www.ReserveAmerica.com. Also, reservations can be made through the call center at (402) 471-1414, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Reservations will not be available via park offices until a later date.
Reservations made before Jan. 1 will be transferred to the ReserveAmerica system. ReserveAmerica has more than 20 years of experience in the recreation reservation industry.
So until the 16th you can not make a reservation for the NE NE BEE SOCIAL Get to Gather. Just wanted people to know when they could sign up and hope more do sign up! Judy
Online Camping and Lodging Reservations
Cabins, Lodge Rooms and Campground Reservation System
The Nebraska State Park Reservation system will be available on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. To ensure a successful transition, we have postponed the opening date. We apologize for the delay.

This site shows the sites still available for the NE NE!!!
Looks like most have signed up for June 1 to June 4 and all reserved sites except site 1 are known to be part of the NE NE Bee Social Get-to-Gather. Just wanted to make the site as easy as possible to get to.
Bring your fishing equipment!!! Buffalo and Elk Ranch are near by for touring. There is a hunting game farm near also. So you can hunt pheasant, quail and or see how they are raised. Fossil tar pits are near as is the Niobrara River for canoing trips and of course the Muddy Missouri is available to play in.
If $15 a nite is more than you want to spend for before or after NE NE stay... Well, we have city parks with elec and concrete spots for RV's for $10 a night. So ask and I will tell you where.
Corp of Engineers have a RV park for all, but those with PassPort America can stay at half price!!! Yankton and Pickstown in SD have them.
Lewis and Clark traveled this area and a lot of history is in them thar hills!!! Ft. Randall/Pickstown is about 40 miles away.

Hey - Gary! What kind of fishing equipment do I need to bring for them Buffaloes, huh??? I don't think my line is heavy enough to haul one in if I do ketch one!!!
Thanks for the heads up on all the activities available -- you're helping to keep the hopes up that the cold of winter will soon be past and we will all be flexing our camping muscles getting ready to head 'em up, move 'em out -- can't wait!!! We had The Fox out yesterday on a little "warm up" jaunt and it felt great to be "traveling" (even if only 5 or 10 miles or so from home!) Nebraska is a bit farther, but never too far to see and meet old and new friends! GO NE!

I see that we have 20 sites reserved. Site #1 is for Sun. Mon.
Sites 4,5 are for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. site 75 is for 3 nites I think Sun, Mon, Tues. Site 69 is for 5 nites. Sunday thru Thurs.
Since there has been a change in the way Nebraska makes their reservations I would suggest that you check your dates with the posted reserved dates. If a problem, it is best to get that corrected before anyone doubles up on YOUR site!
with all the talk about the Western Rally thought I'd bring this back up to get some chit chat going. I think the winter weather is making me stir crazy and need this board to keep me sane. So anything new that we should be talking about?
Hopefully the western rally will be as laid back as this one has been so far. No big plans, just everybody does their own thing etc. during the day.
I know we are definitely NOT early risers. So usually we don't even get going till 11am or so unless we have to.
