Were just now looking for a new trailer our selves.
Have not seen a thor in person yet.
The FS26 sounds pretty good.
Can you give an update on your latest purchase?

G-Bone,
So far, so good. I have had minor little things addressed (caulking around windows and tub, misc tightening of plumbing.) All just shakedown stuff. We have gone out 3 times and the rig tows nicely behind my 2000 Expedition, but I will be replacing it with an Excursion. I don't like to be right at the max weights. Be aware that though they call it a 26', the box is 28.5' and overall is 30.5'. Not a problem for boondocking, but may cause an issue in some CGs. I still haven't taken pictures. We're going out Veterans Day weekend and I'll try to get some good shots. Let me know if you have any other specific questions.

....The bed up front is comfortable, we love the double queen electric beds in the back. Swivel rockers are the bomb, super comfy and can be moved around as you please. We had my daughters birthday dinner in the trailer with 4 adults and 6 kids. Plenty of room with the lower bed made to a couch. We have the Boss stereo system and I would advise against it. The amp is run off an inverter from the 110v system, so you have to have the genny on or be on shore power to get any sound from the system. I had to do some rewiring to get it to run the speakers from the stereo only. Also, with the Boss system you lose some overhead storage space. The fit and finish seem good so far. My wife loves the cherry cabinetry and darker floors. It feels more residential (though it shows the playa dust.) All in all, no regrets and I look forward to wearing the thing out.

Thanks for the run down Dave.
Thats kind of what I was looking for - a personal opinon on the layout, as well as the issues you have come up against after a few trips.
We are looking at the WW FS2500 as well and from what I can see, all the manufactures are using that same floor plan, so it boils down to who has the best construction (on average of course).
Still torn on the extra weight for fiberglass vs. aluminum.
I like the sound of the frame construction on the Thor's from what I read on their web site vs. WW frame construction.
Desicions, desicions.......

The beauty of Thor's aluminum frame/HD foam sandwich construction is the weight savings. That is why all their lighthauler/featherweight trailer come with fiberglass sides, and are still lighter than the aluminum-sided WWs. We also looked at the 23FS in the Tahoe/Vortex. The weight difference was minor, but you lose 2 upper cabinets. Storage space was a huge consideration with my wife, so we went with the 26FS. I have no personal experience about WW, but my camping buddy has an FS2800 that was delivered over the GVW with only a half tank of water. They had to replace tires and wheels to increase the capacity. Just last week (2 years later) he had 2 springs break because they didn't bother changing those out. They re-rated it at 13,100 after the tire swap, but the springs were only rated for 9600. I'm not WW bashing, just a little leery of their products.
Good luck and have fun choosing.

I was curious how you were liking your new TH. We bought the same trailer this past August. We are really happy with it but we didn't have the same luck as Moombahauler.
Here's the list:
- Converter didn't work (wrong unit installed from factory)
- No brakes (wired wrong from factory)
- Generator not wired to the coach
- Leaky gaskets around storage compartment doors
Everything is fixed now and we just had it out on our 4th trip. We got great service from Thor but horrible service from the dealer. (Imagine that) One of the biggest selling points for us was the nice fit and finish.
