We have a leaky front bunk same thing you are describing. Water comes in when towing at hinge ends. Same scenario seals cut to short at both sides. Looks to me like the rubber hinge seal is cut to short aswell. Our trailer is going in for service at the end of August I would like to get the revised seal kit for the front.
Ours was also leaking in the top from the exterior bunk frame right under the drip rail. Water was snaking around the drip rail and into a gap between the frame and fiberglass wall. Ran a bead between the drip rail and the top of the frame, that seems to have done the trick.

Here are some pictures I snapped on my cell phone of the seals on a 2009 Roo.
White Trim is replaced with black Trim w/built in bulb seal on back side.
White trim is replaced with black trim/bulb seal.
Side seals extend all the way to the bottom now. Lower hinge seal under rubber dam appears to be the same material as the side and top seals. Additional seal under dam in edge of bunk door. Rubber dam extends up and tucks behind bunk door edge instead of hinge.
Rubber dam peeled back to show beefier hinge seal (same material as side & top seals?).
I certainly don't want to jinx my ship here, or tick anybody off, but why don't you guys with FR leakers take a look at the Jayco seal set-up? Yes, ours leaked prior to purchase, but we have the redesigned door that prevents the bow in the middle that caused our problem. Since, we've been blessed, or really lucky.
You may recall our Shamrock leaker issue on the trailer we first considered, so I studied these manufacturers hard before we bought, and felt the Jayco was the best seal on the market (then, at least) if I ever bought a hybrid. We almost bought a Jayco 232 and would have exposed ourselves THREE times to a leaker, but I felt that confident in their seal method. But, like I said, ours had a bow in the door which let water in, but now, the door seals the water out all the way around. I could eat my words someday, too, but I am just trying to help you out here if I can. I was almost there, too.
One thing that may make the difference is that the Jayco does not have that deep base channel below the opening where water ponds on the FR, but I think the seals may help if they were a bit different on the FR. I'd post pictures if I had a way to help out. Again, I don't post to tick anybody off and say "Look at my Jayco", I just thought there might be a bit of a help in theway somebody else deals with their seals.

BTW Forest River made my ROO. Thats what you have too! So iguess that comment didn't make much sense.
I know your story well and who made your trailer. I'm not at all surprised that some of these trailers have flaws - yes, even mine - so to me, the comment makes perfect sense. I'm so happy with ours and what we paid for it, I'm willing to deal with certain flaws. Obviously, you're not, which is why I suggested selling. Have you ever tried listing the HTT just to see? I'd try a free site like craigslist just for the hell of it. I know several people in the market right now that firmly believe they're getting a great deal from dealers at $2000 below msrp. It can't hurt to try.
Good Luck & Happy Camping
Just got back from a camping trip with our 2009 Shamrock 233. On the way out, drove through heavy rain for about 1 hour. On the way home, drove through rain for about 1 hour with heavy rain for about 20 minutes. No leaks. Did notice some water in the bottom corners of the front door, but can not see any rain inside. It was not easy to look. On a 233, I needed to run a mirror in under the dinette seat past the water pump. Was not able to see any water signs.

Can you provide any additional details (what did you order and from where) on the roll of seal that you mentioned in your above post Scott? We experienced some leakage around our front bunk during a recent pull in some heavy rain.

Leef-Pepper, did the bottom channel of the 2009 door, that you saw, have any difference in the way that it leans back into the trailer? Will less water collect and hold in the 2009 bottom door frame?
