While you are reviewing campgrounds in the area check out Drummer Boy. We stayed there last year are were not impressed. There have been a few threads on this site which state disappointment with DB. The teen who work at the CG run wild on golf carts. We will be returnint to Gettysberg in Oct but will look elsewhere than Drummer Boy.

Gettysburg KOA is less expensive than Drummer Boy, and we thought it was really, really nice. Sites are spacious for a KOA, lots of shade, beautiful naturalistic landscaping around the sites and buildings, and private shower rooms in the satellite BR. You may give them a try.
We were at Pinch Pond last November, nothing special, unshaded sites in front, mostly seasonals in back. We were at Drummer Boy in July and had a wonderful time. Nice wooded site near the waterslide pool.
We stayed at Pinch Pond this past summer. In my opinion it is about 20 years past its prime. There are a few nice sites. The seasonal sites are scary, the pool has a garden hose constantly running water into it, didn't see a fish in the pond when fishing, but did watch a snake as it swam by... before you bash I understand snakes are out there but not many really want to see them while fishing with children :-). Its sister camp gound called Gretna Oaks was worse. Actually had a sign on the non staffed office that the water was SAFER to drink... Whats that supposed to mean!!!
We just got back from the PA Renassaince Faire and stayed at Pinch Pond with a another family. This is my first time back since they made some changes. Lots of spacious sites up front, but only 1 tree per site so you are pretty much in the open. I prefer sites that are more secluded. We used the pull thru sites, my friends pulled through the right way and I went in the opposite way so we were able to face each other. We didn't send much time at the camp ground - we arrived Friday evening and spent Saturday at the Faire and left Sunday morning. I would use this Campground again since its the best one I've found in the area.
