So, do you guys think it would be worth my time to have the dealership put a ceiling fan in my 2003 Coachmen Chaparral 5th wheel, I have high enough ceilings but was wondering if it would cost me to much. What do you guys think? Anyone on here had a ceiling fan put in? If so did it cost you?

We sure love our ceiling fan!!! If you have one put in, I would opt for one with a light kit and a remote control that lets you control the on/off, speed, direction and lights with dimmer. If your going to spend the money to put one in, then spend the little extra for a good one, you won't regret it.

Make sure the fan blades will clear your slide outs when then are in.

If you decide against it, then regret your decision, I understand that Shurflo makes a vent replacement fan that can be operated with the vent closed, so that in effect you are getting the same advantages of a ceiling fan, for probably less money.

We like our factory-installed fan, except at night. When the ceiling lights are on the fan blades make the lights appear to blink rapidly. Really annoying, especially for my wife(migranes). I seem to remember seeing 12V ceiling fans somewhere on the net, If you're interested. 120VAC ceiling fans can be purchased for <$100. Wiring may be convenient if you have a 120V light nearby.

Used mine once since we got the fiver. I personally think it is a big waste of money, and would not order it. Now, having said that we do not usually spend much time in full hookup camp grounds, so again to me it is a waste.

WE like ours. We do not have a remote and I wish we did. We don't need lighting so you'll have to look at your lighting needs.

I put both the ceiling fan and the fireplace in the same category...we would not have ordered them in first place but our trailer came with them...we use them regularly and would not want to be without, so if we were buying again we would order them.
