Well I don't think there is much doubt about the facts that point to the old planet warming up, but I REALLY question the science that offers opinions as to why. Too many of those are politically motivated. Too many of their computer models are created with bad or unsubstantiated data. It's the old "garbage in...garbage out" syndrome. It was only 30 years ago that they thought we were going back into another ice age.
Remember these predictions are being made by the same folks that cannot accurately predict a hurricane in three weeks let alone the climate change 100 years out.
Don't forget that the "mini" ice age only receded 160 years ago. During that, the poor Vikings were frozen out of Greenland and most of Europe was in a deep freeze. Everybody was living indoors, including the rats and fleas that led to the plague.
Too many folks think we live in a linear environment, when we really live in an ever changing dynamic that we have not learned how to predict.
When we see a statement like "the scientist have reached a consensus"
You are looking at a political statement not fact. When you see research that cannot be duplicated by other professionals or not allowed to be published in the journals for peer review, chances are you are dealing with politics not science.

The way I figure it, Oregon is now experiencing a lot of the weather pattern that California had about 30-40 years ago......SO, due to global warming, we're checking out land in the Yukon...figure we might put in orange groves and grapevines....

IMO, the question isn't whether global warming is fact or not, the question is "If it is fact, can we (mankind, humankind, Homo Sapiens Sapiens, etc.) do anything about it?"
From what little reading I have done on the subject, I have come to the conclusion that NO, we can't do anything about it, and we had better learn to cope with it.
Now, don't take me wrong here, I am NOT saying that we shouldn't clean up our act, and stop polluting the world whereever and whenever we can. Yes, most assuredly WE need to do all we can. However, if we are just doing it to stop global warming we may very well be on a fool's errand.

.

Over 500 scientists published studies countering global warming fears... ^

Survey: Fewer than half of scientists endorse man-made global warming... ^

Looking for any information available on Del Rey "Sky Lounge" and Kamp King slide-ins for preservation/restoration projects.

Actually, I have an idea that would work. We've seen small solar arrays unfurrowed out in space, well...
We can make a really BIG solar screen, put it in an orbit that keeps it between us and the Sun, and deploy it about 15 minutes each day.

SHAZZAM! No more global warming!

Since I am in tune with animals and feel that they have better sense of what is coming and after talking at length with some local Beavers and Gophers, their feeling is that this winter will be one of the worst on record for the Mid West and the North East. I trust these sources more than the News Media or The Government. Animals are neither running for office, trying to stay in office nor are they making infomercials and selling the videos. Since man has been here such a VERY short time, considering the age of the Earth, and can't he even smell an enemy approaching, I trust the animals to give me a more objective prediction of what is coming. Why not put the Animals [the fuzzy kind] in the Government offices and see how they do. I wonder how they would treat us. As for the weather, it will continue to change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. As for the Vikings I saw on the Discovery Channel, their demise was due to those darn Sheep with their uncontrolled flagellation. Methane. Signed; A. Deer. PS,I was joking about the sheep. It was actually the Vikings themselves. Did you ever see what those people used to eat. Gracious me.
